    Less than a mile from the galleries and village district of Old Lyme, this updated home offers the perfect blend of charm and convenience. The property backs up to a peaceful farm and the scenic Griswold Preserve, where guests can enjoy beautiful walking trails. The large backyard provides a relaxing outdoor space to unwind, and the real wood-burning fireplace adds warmth and character.



    The Space:

    Fully Equipped Kitchen & Dining:

    The kitchen features a refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, and Keurig coffee maker, drip style coffee maker and is fully stocked with cookware, serving utensils, basic paper products, and cleaning supplies. A gas grill is available for outdoor cooking. The adjacent dining area provides a comfortable space to enjoy meals together.



    Comfortable Accommodations – Sleeps 6:

    All three bedrooms are located on the second floor. Bedroom 1 includes a queen bed, Bedroom 2 has two twin beds, and Bedroom 3 features a king bed with a half bathroom. A full bathroom is located on the main level, with an additional full bathroom on the second floor for added convenience. Each bathroom is thoughtfully supplied with plush guest towels, premium shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, along with all essential paper products, ensuring a comfortable and hassle-free stay.

The home was very nice and clean. The a/c and appliances all worked well, although we were surprised the refrigerator is very dated in relation to the rest of the house. It served our purposes well and we would definitely return here. We did encounter two issues that should be addressed. 1. The property is specifically advertised as including a beach pass. However, when I inquired about the beach pass upon arrival, I was told there was none. 2. The property was advertised as pet friendly and we brought our golden retriever and golden doodle and it was great to have them with us. What was strange was that on the day of check in I received an email asking for a “pet fee” to be charged to me credit card. When I questioned the fee I was told that there was no fee and the property was pet friendly. Perhaps just miscommunication on both issues, but the owner should look into both. Again, we had a great time and the house fit our needs perfectly, so those two issues should not overshadow the overall experience.
