"The room was on the top floor and they have no elevator, but the receptionist gentleman carried our bags up and left them in front of the door. Parking is limited, but adequate for the number of occupants that were there that night. The free wi-fi was very fast, which we utilized greatly for planning our next day. Breakfast is served from 8:00a to 9:00p, which is a traditional English breakfast. What was really nice, was they had vegetarian sausages made to order instead of only meat options. Food was good and service was adequate, but I wouldn’t call it friendly. Pretty much all business, but they got the job done and did it well!"

This room did not have an ensuite bathroom and so nightime bathroom excursions were a bit risky as I had to leave my room and go down some steps to reach the facility. "A fabulous holiday home in a stunning location!We had a wonderful week's holiday here in North Wales. We had a very warm welcome from the owners and were delighted to see the pictures of the property did not do it justice. It is set in a rural landscape affording splendid views all round, with only the sound of the birds and sheep in the background (and the occasional tractor). Sitting outside on the decking to dine alfresco and watch the setting sun was so relaxing.The Lodge itself is well equipped for self catering, though there are many eateries within a short drive if you prefer . The owners provide lots of information on places to visit and for eating out. There is no shortage of beautiful places to visit and things to do in this area of the country, from mountains to coast and everything in between! The open plan lounge/diner/kitchen provides an excellent social space and in inclement weather you can still enjoy the surrounding countryside, especially with the lovely wood burner lit! The owners dogs Winnie & Ben are very friendly too. There are a couple of yurts and a shepherd's hut on site but these do not impinge on the privacy of the Lodge in any way. The Lodge is a spacious, comfortable, warm and homely place whatever the weather!"

"Loved the accommodation, very clean, warm and also easy parking. Access via Keybox, Close to centre of Colwyn bay. Great kitchen, with everything you will need to make meals.Two very spacious bedrooms, and a large lounge (from which you can see the sea). There are narrow steps up to the living room accommodation and a second stairway up to bedrooms, this was ok for us but may hinder the less mobile. Furnished very nicely inside, comfy bed, and spacious bathroom. Would stay here again. "
