Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Okkwa-Ri?
The best area to stay in Okkwa-Ri is the area around the Boseong Green Tea Fields.

This area is the heart of Okkwa-Ri's tea production and offers a tranquil, scenic setting. You'll find accommodation options that are often surrounded by the rolling green hills of the tea plantations themselves. The main road through this area, often referred to as "Tea Plantation Road," connects many of the larger tea estates and smaller guesthouses. It's a peaceful area, superb for those looking to relax and enjoy nature.

For couples seeking a romantic and quiet escape, staying directly within or very close to the tea fields is ideal. Many accommodations here offer rooms with stunning views of the plantations, and you can enjoy leisurely walks through the fields, participate in tea-picking experiences, or simply unwind in the serene environment. The proximity to the tea museums and local tea houses means you're always just a short stroll from experiencing the region's main draw.

Travellers interested in a calm and reflective trip will also find this area perfect. The unhurried pace of life here, combined with the natural beauty, provides an excellent opportunity for relaxation and rejuvenation.

The weather is generally pleasant for outdoor activities like hiking and exploring the scenic countryside. Autumn offers crisp, clear weather and stunning foliage as the leaves change colour, especially in the surrounding hills and mountains. The temperatures are cool and comfortable, making it ideal for exploring the natural beauty of the region without the humidity of summer. Travellers who enjoy photography or outdoor adventures will find this season particularly appealing.
