Secluded (for unexpected paradise)
We wanted to be away from tourist Rotorua, but close to thermal adventures. Okere falls is a fabulous location & a walk to famous store & beer garden. Walking to falls, we were able to see & hear rafters screaming over waterfalls - awesome! We love knowing our host's story & delighted that allowing renters works for all

Great Bach
Great property with an awesome view. The road noise was a bit loud but you got used to it quite quickly. The only downside would be that the mattresses were a bit worn (especially in the 2nd bedroom).

Great property in great location
Property is ideally located next to the white water rafting activities. Property was clean, comfortable, private and had an amazing view. The adjacent road can be heard from the property but this is a very minor drawback from everything else. Would definitely recommend staying at this property.

Lovely Stay
Really enjoyed staying here, so close to Okere Falls and beautiful view from living room. Kids enjoyed playing hide and seek on the lawn. House had everything we needed, would highly recommend

What a lovely time
We're very happy with the communications, location, cleanliness and overall service of our stay. The owner gratuitously helped us move the booking date after some members contracted Covid. Will definitely recommend it again.

Lovely warm cottage
A lovely place to stay for a family of four. The house is warm and windows are double glazed. This means the humm of the traffic is absolutely minimal. The beds a comfortable and so is the living room. The kitchen and dining area is small but more than adequate. Lovely garden for children to play in safely.

Great spot for a get away
Lovely spot to get away for a long weekend to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The cafe just down the road was wonderful and the food very yummy!. The walk to the falls was a great way to burn off the extra calories from the cafe visits. Fire was a lovely bonus on the cooler evening.

Fabulous Place to Stay
Beautiful cottage, with absolutely everything we needed. Had a fabulous view of the lake. Great location to cafe, and things we wanted to do. Loved it and will definitely stay again !

Very cute cottage well located
What a cute little batch. All tastefully renovated. Comfortable beds and kitchen well equipped. The view is so lovely from inside and the undercover deck. Be warmed if you have a 2wd, the driveway can be intimidating. Don't stop! And you don't see the road but can hear it. Didn't bother us after an hour or two. View is so enchanting :)

Matariki weekend break
A comfortable and relaxed house with lake views. We enjoyed the open fire, the well equipped kitchen and books and toys for young children to discover. Highly recommended.

The house is very clean and tidy with a lovely view out to the lake. Kitchen is basic and dated but very well equipped and it was a nice surprise to have a dishwasher as the listing said there isn’t one. Nice to have the open fire to stay warm in the evenings. It would have been great to have a couple of extra towels as there was only one per person and no spares - a bath mat for outside the shower would be a good addition too. Also worth noting that the house is situated on a state highway and while you can’t see the road from the house, you can definitely hear it! Big trucks heading past 24 hours a day so if you’re a light sleeper take ear plugs! Highly recommend the okere falls store just next door for great cafe food and their delicious Thursday nights burger night.

Incredible Weekend
My fiancé and I had an incredible weekend! We stayed 3 nights and every morning we walked across the road for a swim, stopped at okere falls cafe for a coffee and back to our accom from a lovely breakfast on the deck. And the nights were very cosy in front of the fire. Great communication with the owners! Very clean! Great wifi connection and phone service! Incredible location! Dora and Dave

Lake Rotoiti Summer Break
We booked a 5 day stay at Kaituna Cottage for the end of the school hols. Lake Rotoiti is our favourite place to visit as a family. We love the location of the cottage and the lake views and our boys love all that Rotorua has to offer (we have actually stayed here before under the previous owners). The cottage has been renovated and is lovely and clean and tidy with everything you need for your stay. We love the Okere Falls bushwalk just around the corner, and the excellent cafe serving wonderful food. Handy enough to Rotorua, but far enough out to feel away from the bustle. Melissa was excellent to deal with - she answered all our questions promptly and was very helpful. We'll definitely be back! Thankyou.

Kaituna cottage = Awesome spot
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. 2 nights was too short. The view from the deck was amazing, a favourite spot for all the family. The waterfalls walks were close by and well worth the hike. We would love to go back, hopefully in the not too distant future. Thanks again for letting us share your special cottage!

Close to perfection!
Fabulous accommodation and close to perfect and we loved the local cafe. I can only make constructive feedback about the rough state of the driveway which was affected by how steep it was, we held our breath a couple of times driving up, also the very busy road and noise till late at night, not much you can do about that ! (I wished I had brought ear plugs.) Otherwise it was just lovely. Thank you so much.

We loved our stay at Kaituna Cottage...lovely location and beautiful, clean and comfortable cottage.. it was perfect for our short family break together.
