The garden provides an oasis of greenery and brings lots of bird life. We have fantails, wood pidgeons as frequent visitors. Weweia nest at the end of the jetty - these are an endangered species so we ask you not to bring your pets on holiday with you.
The deck gets plenty of afternoon sun and most rooms have good water & bush views. It is a space where you can do as much or as little as you want.
The beds are exceptional! After a busy day on the water it is so satisfying to have a good nights sleep, and wake up to birdsong.
We love walking to the cafe for our morning coffee and a muffin. On the way we will often stop on the footbridge to look for trout, or pause to watch the kayakers or rafters drop and slide in their manouvres. The walk to the cafe is about 5 mins.
The Tutea Falls track provides a great running or walking option for those who need to walk off those muffins!
