This hotel was in a great location for the beach and Oistins shops and bars, the breakfast was also very good, there was some road noise from passing cars and buses using their horns

Room was comfortable. Old building but bed, aircon, warm shower, tv all good. Very noisy becaise the room was near the road, but once I wore earplugs that problem was solved. Excellent check-in and cleaning staff! No elevator.

Decent hotel

Hotel is a well kept, decent hotel and the beach is right across the road. There is a restaurant on site but there is a kitchenette in the room. Would have been nice to have instant coffee in the room.

A convenient treasure.

The hotel is all that you need for a beach vacation. The hotel restaurant serves wonderful meals and hosts a local gathering every Saturday. It is located directly across from Welches beach and within walking distance to Oistin's Fish Fry.

As previous reviews have stated, the Hotel is tired and in need of an update. The staff were friendly and the room cleaned with fresh towels daily. The location for the beach perfect. The food in the restaurant was very good however there was no atmosphere and not many customers probably due to the attitude of the waiting staff. We would stay here again.

I came to the Golden sands for my husbands birthday weekend and our stay there was superb from start to finish. The staff were very accommodating esp Mechelle who helped me coordinate with decorators to set up the room for my husbands birthday surprise as well as throwing in a complimentary birthday breakfast and bottle of wine in there. The food at the restaurant attached to the hotel was also spectacular. We very much enjoyed the breadfruit coocoo with king fish as well as pudding and souse. The rooms were clean and equipt with all we needed and the location was awesome situated right across from beach and a short walk to the oistins fish fry. I highly recommend the Golden Sands hotel

Very convenient for public transport and supermarket shopping. There is a beach across the road. The accommodation is well equipped for self catering. Rooms are throughly cleaned every day. Brenda the receptionist is brilliant. The staff in the restaurant were polite and helpful. Had a wonderful stay.

Whilst the property is quite tired in parts and in need of a facelift, the staff are lovely and helpful with a real feel of ‘home’ . everything worked fine but was quite dated for example the shower area and the noisy fridge freezer Overall it was lovely and cosy to come home to each day/night and we slept fine Our room was in a great location overlooking the sea and the pool and was great for walking to Oistins or St Lawrence Had a fabulous stay !

Coming back next year

We spent 2+ weeks at the Golden Sands. All the staff were lovely. Brenda was amazing, helping us with everything we needed.The housekeepers came to our room every day. The hotel is comfortable and clean, with kitchenettes in the rooms, a nice pool and beautiful views from the balconies. There is a small beach across the street and we saw turtles as we swam daily. The hotel has a restaurant, serving locals and hotel guests, and their Saturday afternoon karaoke party is a must do.

We had a lovely time at golden sands . The property does need updating the decorator was painting outside whilst we have been here. Everyday people were cleaning or painting . I cant fault how lovely everyone is . We know that inside the rooms needs a refurb but nothing was dirty it all worked and we were able to be very comfortable .. our room overlooked pool area the noise wasnt too bad from main road as we used pool side bedroom in main appt lounge area . We also ate in restaurant lovely food both during some breakfasts and dinner . The pool area was lovely and very quiet . The buses stop outside so you can either get them to other resorts or bridgetown or 10 minute walk to oistins fish fry .

The receptionist sent me to room 201. Its the first time at that hotel and i had no knowledge that room 201 is close to the main road, as a result, i had absolutely no sleep. It was so noisy. I was looking forward to a good night's rest after my flight. I think that the receptionist should have asked me if i was ok with a room close to the road noting the noise. I was really upset. However the room itself was beautiful. Lots of space and it was clean. I will stay there again, but i must get a room that is not close to the road.
