Looking for an uber private, tucked away, family friendly rustic luxury guest experience for your next trip to Ohiopyle? Look no further!! On the Rocks Cabin is your ultimate getaway. Designed by Alice Beckett-Rumberger, Design Officer from Turning Leaf Vacation Rentals, this rustic luxury cabin is loosely modeled after one of the most popular cabins in Ohiopyle (Whiskey Rock Cabin). This home, designed and built by TLVR in 2022, is set into a sloping hillside that overlooks the wooded mountain side with small stream (with small trout hole) by the firepit. Once you arrive, the quiet setting of the home, means you will see no cars and likely no people while basking in the quiet of nature!

This tucked away cabin sits on 10 acres of PA Wilds is set in the middle of 16,000 acres of PA State Gamelands #51. Hike, hunt or explore directly from the cabin--just be sure to leave with a map and compass as you embark on any excursion. On the Rocks Cabin though private and tucked away is only 4 miles from Kentuck Knob, 7 miles from downtown Ohiopyle and 9 miles from Fallingwater. When you return, enjoy the quiet on the oversized covered patio on the front or large side patio with picnic table or start a game of cornhole off the patio. At night, make memories with friends or family by the fire pit or hot tub. Inside the cabin has all the luxury that you want for a cozy getaway. Enjoy the floor to ceiling gas fireplace, in-floor heat, Flat Screen TV and ATT-Hotspot Internet (DATA rules and streaming fees do apply).

**Internet Data Package includes 12 GB data of High Speed Internet. If you think that you need more, be sure to purchase multiple packages of data.**

Please note this cabin sits at approximately 2900 feet elevation. Guests really MUST have AWD/4WD to stay here from Nov 1-March 31st.

**GATE AND DRIVEWAY INFORMATION**
• Please use the gate and driveway dedicated to On the Rocks Cabin.
• Do NOT use the driveway and entry gate for our Whiskey Rock Cabin.
• Driving back and forth in front of the Whiskey Rock Cabin is generally not appreciated by our Whiskey Rock Cabin guests.
• Please use the correct gate and driveway at all times to access the On the Rocks Cabin.

Security:

For the safety or our guests and the protection of the property against criminal activity, all guests understand that, at a minimum, there is a “Blink” security camera type located at the front and rear entrance of the cabin to monitor access/egress and driveway areas. Security cameras are in use 24 hours a day/7 days a week.

Guests should not remove, disturb, modify or damage any part of the onsite security system. IF this occurs it will result in the loss of security deposit or added charges, which ever applies.

Last minute trip to get away for some weekend fun. Weather was cold and rainy, and I spent an evening in the hospital after getting knocked out whitewater rafting. Not my idea of fun. However, the cabin, ambience, hospitality, and friendly community made this one of my favorites of all time. My bird dogs also had the time of their lives!!!

Quaint, remote cabin was perfect for our stay while visiting Fallingwater, Kentuck Knob and Ohiopyle. Very clean and stocked with everything to make us comfortable.

Ohiopyle cabin

The hot tub was filthy when we arrived & we were unable to reach the property mgr until the next day due to poor cell phone reception. But he came quickly to clean it once we were able to contact him. Everything else was great.

Quick trip to PA

We had a quick family visit planned, and this property was perfect for my daughter, sister and myself. Plenty of room for the 3 of us, and the hot tub was great in the evenings. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking evening meals. I saw a lot of comments about the WiFi, which we hadn’t noticed until close to our trip, but for those who have AT&T, you have good coverage at the property. We never had any issues, but we all had AT&T. Super clean, beautiful property, and very close to Ohiopyle. We will definitely stay here when visiting family in the area in the future.

Beautiful tucked away cabin

Upon stepping foot into this cabin we were enamored by the decor and layout of this sweet little space. My family of 6 slept comfortably and the cabin had all the necessities. Only complaints that I have are that there is an extra charge for over 4 guests, when the cabin sleeps 6. Then there are only 4 Adirondack chairs around the fire and towels for the hottub. Also, the Wi-Fi that you have to pay extra for is terrible. We only had service for the first evening.

Family Vacation

The property was excellent. Private and clean. Everything we could have wanted. Air conditioning at night downstairs for the master bedroom could’ve been cooler; but not enough to be a breaking point. The owner was very understanding. I know when I booked in January I booked with two dogs. Made sure to have a pet friendly cabin. But the day before check-in the confirmation emailed to me had the pets left off. I waited to get there to see if it was a mistake. When the owner messaged me I paid the fee instantly. My daughter and I very much loved location; layout of cabin and privacy.

Perfect get-away

Overall, the cabin is just a 10, just as described. It is beautifully decorated and comfortable. The grounds were well kept and everything was in good working order. There is a really great fire pit area that is a little walk down a small hill which was great for privacy. The hot tub was a relaxing break. We really did LOVE it and had an amazing time. The only reason I gave a 4 for the overall rating was that about 2 hrs into the stay some folks showed up to cut the grass and care for the lawn. Some might not care about that but we go to the woods for peace and quiet and that was a huge interruption. The owners were responsive and respected our desire for privacy and apologized though. Maybe plan those things during certain hrs or before or after someone leaves. our ONLY gripe. Other than that- it was fantastic.
