Cute and quiet Ohawe cottage

Very private, newly refurbished, one bedroom cottage at friendly Ohawe Beach - a great place to unwind and relax. Five minute walk to the beach which is great for surfing, fishing, swimming, poking around in rock pools or just walking (it’s dog friendly too). Safe water hole for swimming in nearby Waingongoro River.
Ohawe is just a 7 minute drive from Hawera for shopping, eating out, cafes, museum, parks and gardens. Easy access to Mount Taranaki for walking and cycling tracks, Dawson Falls, Surf Highway 45 and just an hour away from New Plymouth.
This cottage has everything you need including a comfortable double bed, Smart TV, DVD player, BBQ, washing machine and new shower. Has a private garden, deck, plenty of parking space and located on a quiet road.
DOGS ALLOWED ON REQUEST (please advise what breed of dog/s and how many - there is a small $10 fee per night for dogs). The property has a fully fenced garden.
Please read the full description carefully, for instance; the fridge does not have a freezer compartment and there is no oven. UPDATE: We now have a desktop ice maker and an Air Fryer at the cottage.

Great little cottage/tiny house, nice location and close to beach/sea. Had everything you could want as far as small appliances and even fresh cold bottle water in the fridge.Will be booking this again in the future for sure, stay a little long next time.

Lovely well-appointed bach for a quiet getaway

Can't fault this bach, very clean, everything we needed, and check-in process was seamless. The property is very well maintained, and if you want to escape the hustle and bustle in a very quiet little township I'd highly recommend.

Best Xmas for 2 ever

Quiet cozy private beautiful cottage and the little things that made it more special. The bean bags icemaker the beach down the road and was only10 minutes from Hawera. EXCELLENT!!!

Lovely cottage

Cottage was very comfortable for the 2 of us and quite sheltered from the strong winds at the time we were there. Everything we needed was there. Hosts are great communicators. Definitely stay there again.

Perfect getaway cottage

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Its on a secure section, a quiet location with private outdoor garden and the area has a nice community feel to it. The cottage was set up stylishly and comfortably with everything we could need, and kept spotlessly clean by the host. A great base to explore Taranaki, or just relax. Magical Stay in Ohawe

An awesome wee hideaway in a well apointed 1bdrm cottage - we had everything we needed for a couple of nights R&R - awesome set up with our 2 manimals - fully fenced and secure - great walks all around and the locals were amazingly friendly and the whole place had a warm village feel to it. Awesome wee cottage. Nice and private and perfect for taking my dog as the section is fully fenced. The vibe was awesome inside and out and would definitely love to go back next time I need a recharge. Loved it!!

Just what we needed

Wonderful three nights at this lovely cosy bach which has everything you need. Relaxing and quiet, only sounds were the river, the odd farm animal noise and birds singing! Fabulous for our two dogs, they had great fun playing in the garden, running on the nearby beach and swimming in the river. Bridget was a wonderful host and was very accommodating when we needed to change our dates.

Beautiful little cottage
