"Charming cottage overlooking a working sheep station. LotR fans will recognize the ajacent area, owned by the same family, as the site of the Pelennor Fields battle scene. Very convenient for day hikes in Mt. Cook National Park. No frills accommodation, but the cute little town of Twizel is a 5 minute drive away, and one can find all the basic food and supplies there."

"The room and bathroom was nice and clean. I only wish their office was open during more of the day, rather than restricted to 2:00 to 7:00. It prevents you from dropping your bags and doing something in the afternoon."

"We had a ‘cube’… The rooms were so dirty, the sheets clearly were not washed and had stains on. There were dead bugs everywhere, a dead mosquito and moth fell onto the bottom bunk as I was lying down.
As you drive in it looks run down from old/abandoned caravans.
One block of bathrooms were dirty, flies everywhere with toilet roll just on the floor no stand for it…"

"This place is like a bach which has been used for many years and the furniture has been there also forever. Well used couches with a few rips here and there. If you after a place to stay with a lot of people and don't mind a bit of dust, then this is the place to be. Quiet location and close to everything. Kitchen, bathroom and toilets were clean and the shower was good. "
