Checking in was easy and the lady was really nice. Our room was really clean, very comfortable, bed was nice, shower fantastic, and the room was very warm for this time of year, ( End of September). certainly didn't need the heater on.

OK in Ohakune

An older style motel but perfectly adequate for our overnight stay. Clean & comfortable. Our room was upstairs and there is no lift, so could be an issue for someone with mobility problems. or found it difficult to carry luggage.

For the price I thought it was a little out dated. The mirrors could do with replacing, the electric sockets units didn't look safe. Good location for the Mountain and the kids enjoyed the adventure but could do with a mini upgrade

A little gem of a property. Built around a courtyard, the motel was very quiet. It is off the main road, but easily within walking distance and a 2 minute drive into town. There is a small playground nearby as well as a fantastic Carrotland Adventure Playground (with flying fox and confidence court!) in town. The motel was extremely clean, and the staff were friendly and generous with towels etc. There is a private hot tub/spa pool available which we really enjoyed. Beds were SUPER comfortable and curtains were great at blocking out all light. Kitchen comes with all you would expect - small/bar fridge, small oven and stovetop, dishes, pots, microwave, etc - so it is easy to self-cater and save some money that way. (There is a New World supermarket in town as well as dairies, cafes, etc) There are several shelves of DVD's and books that you can borrow, and our 2 night stay was very pleasant. We would happily return.

The owner was very friendly, parking was right outside our room and the room was clean and tidy and we did enjoy sitting out the back under the sun - very pleasant. Am mindful this is a budget hotel but aside from the good points as mentioned, can only mark it as 3 stars because: 1. there was only 1 washing machine and 1 dryer in the whole complex (and many wanted to do their washing / drying), and 2. the toilet was in the bathroom. There was 6 of us and we had the 2 bedroom apartment but this aspect proved very difficult at times. Fortunately we had friends next door so on more than one occasion we used their facilities. I would stay again but only if there was 2 - 3 of us. Six is just too many for one apartment.

Good choice in Ohakune

An older style motel a little distance from town centre. The owner is very helpful. The grounds are spacious and very well kept. This is in a quiet area within walking distance of shops and cafes.
