This cottage is much larger than it appears in the photos! It has a nice-sized living room, an eat-in kitchen, two outdoor areas for hanging out, a three-season porch, plus a lot more! There's a big-screen TV, along with cable and a DVD player, plus dozens of games (which was a treat, because we're game lovers).
The location is terrific ... close to downtown Ogunquit, but nestled in the trees (LOVED that). It's just off Route 1, but so quiet, which makes for a great night's sleep.
The host is extremely welcoming. The "guest guide" in the living room encourages you to think of the cottage as your own home, and that's easy to do, because once you get here, you don't want to leave. Also, from an economic point of view, I thought the price was extremely reasonable and competitive.
There's parking for one car right at the cottage door, and additional parking for guests elsewhere on the property.
The cottage is pristine and immaculate; it's obvious that the owners have put a lot of love into maintaining the original charm while also updating it. As one who is sensitive to heat, I appreciated the air conditioning in both the main part of the cottage as well as the living room.
Can you tell I loved it here? Definitely check it out if you're looking for a quiet, clean, fun place to stay in Ogunquit.
One other thing... It is located in a condo/cottage complex. You can tell that a lot of love has been lavished on all of the condos. The property is kept beautifully and the people we encountered were friendly and pleasant. Some condo communities seem tight and a little claustrophobic, but the way this community is laid out makes it feel spacious. I think the fact that each unit has a lawn/outdoor area helps. So, if you're worried about feeling like you're right on top of your neighbor, don't be.
