The "Bird House," a charming 80's "Ishee Style" Bill Allen home, is located in the serenity of picturesque downtown Ocean Springs. The historic shopping & dining district of the downtown, and beautiful sugar sands of the beach are a 5 minute drive by car or a 1.5 mi walk. This house has room to sleep a family of 8, but plenty of interior & exterior space for entertaining. Visitors come for art, bicycling, bird-watching, cruising, festivals, fishing, gaming, shopping and the uncrowded beaches.

The space
The Bird House is a delightful house perched at the edge of the native Mississippi woods within close proximity of the downtown & the beach. Songbirds are abundant in the trees, as well as local wildlife, raccoons, squirrels, rabbits and turtles; this is a great spot for bird-watching. The Bird House is located just down the road from the Historic Marble Springs and Evergreen Cemetery on Fort Bayou. You'll enjoy/love staying in this quaint, eclectic and unique home with all the creature comforts you would expect in a home-away-from-home. You will certainly enjoy our laid-back lifestyle, with just a touch of the Golden Gulf Coast charm, that goes with it; you will either wish you had booked a longer stay, or never want to leave. The Bird House has an open floor plan with sleeping for four downstairs, and a loft area upstairs that sleeps four. Perfect for six people, or for a family of 8 or a group of very close friends. WIFI, one Smart TV with Netflix, Amazon Prime, & Hulu is provided. The dining area seats six and three at the open bar. A fully furnished kitchen provides all the items you need to create a special culinary delight. There is a large entertainment deck off the dining area with a full sitting area and patio set for numerous guests; the deck provides incredible views of the local flora and fauna along the North Bird Creek.

Guest access
All spaces are available; from the cozy morning deck at the front of the Bird House to the more private and large deck at the rear, for barbequing and entertaining family & friends.

Other things to note
The Bird House is recognized as a certified Wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation; it is also routinely maintained by a trained landscaper.

KITCHEN: Fully equipped kitchen with cooking basics & beyond, spices, continental breakfast items provided, Mr. Coffee & Nepresso, blender, mixer, toaster, crockpot, pots & pans, dishes, and a Weber gas grill for those perfect steaks or burgers.
INDOOR LIVING: One Smart 50 inch TV in living area, games & puzzles, retreat for the little ones in the loft "Bird's Nest" filled with stuffed animals, toys, & books [child gates & outlet covers available]
GENERAL: European washer & dryer, beach towels, linens, basic toiletries, hair dryer & flat iron, air conditioning, 2 private keys, pet fee: $100 non-refundable (paid pre-arrival)
PARKING: Parking for up to 4 cars is available. Off-site covered parking for campers, boats, & trailers is available upon special request. [Additional fee of $25 @ day]

Pet Policy: Though we are pet-lovers ourselves, we try to impose this rule in consideration of our other guests whom may have severe pet-related allergies, and our housekeeping staff. However, we do make acceptions for working animals and will consider some breeds that are rated as hypoallergenic. Thank you for your understanding and compliance.

Guest hereby agrees to comply the following:
1 Guest to pay additional pet fee in the amount of $100[nonrefundable] @ length of stay.
2 All pets must comply with the following specifications: [Documentation from an accredited veterinarian must be provided by Guest upon request.]
a May not exceed 45 lbs
b Must be up-to-date on rabies vaccinations and all other vaccinations. Heartworm preventive is highly recommended.
3 All pets must be leashed when outside at all times.
4 Guest is responsible for cleaning up any & all pet refuse.
5 All pets are to be treated with a topical flea & tick repellent 3 (three) days prior to arrival. Fleas & ticks are very rampant in this area and can cause harmful / fatal illnesses to humans and pets.
6 Pet must not cause damage to premises or furnishings. If damages are caused, the cost of the damage will be charged to guest’s credit card.
7 Guest should prevent pets from producing excessive noise at a level that disturbs neighbors.
8 Pet will not be left unattended for an undue length of time, either indoors or out. Pet will not be left unattended on deck or front walkway.
9 Homeowner assumes no responsibility for illnesses or injury that may incur to pets or humans while on the premises. The guest shall be solely responsible for the pet while on the property.
