Beautiful beach home. Pics are a little old because deck is brand new! 4 beds with 4 full baths 1 for each room. Master has jetted tub. Tons of decking space and lower space for families and get togethers. First home on the corner of Wilmington and 2nd street. 5 minute walk to Restaurants and park. 3 minute walk to the public beach access. Enjoy beautiful sunsets from the third story deck, and the peacefulness of Ocean Isle. You won't want to leave!

A great family vacation

The owner was great, he responded quickly and was friendly. Our family had a great time, the house is an easy walking distance to the beach. I recommend this house for any family staying at Ocean Isle Beach.

Perfect for 14

First time using vrbo! This house was a wonderful stay for our large family. The location was perfect for a quick walk anywhere along the beach. We were there during Hurricane Debbie and the host was amazing with communication in terms of inclement weather. Highly recommend this house for anyone with lots of kids, a large group, or just looking for a great stay.

A great week in Ocean Isle

This home was in the perfect location for a week at the beach! It is a very short walk to the public access to the beach as well as to Drift, a cute coffee shop. The view of the sunsets from the porches was fantastic! The house could use a little updating, especially the carpeting, but we appreciated having a private bathroom for each bedroom.

Perfect spot!

The house’s features, view and location were excellent. We really enjoyed having a big TV, recliners, canal views and porches with various seating, a well stocked kitchen, and plenty of beds and bathrooms. We also appreciated the short walk to the beach or area activities, though some road noise can be heard inside the house. All in all - great place! Will be back!

Great stay!

We loved staying on the canal this time. Our boys really enjoyed fishing off the dock. We had plenty of room and space. Loved that each bedroom had a balcony/deck.

This home was perfect for our family. The property, and location were incredible. We enjoyed seeing the fireworks from the 3rd floor porch, and the convenience to both the beach and other Island amenities. The reason I didn't mark this as "excellent" is due to the lack of updates to the house. The carpets are worn out and stained. Due to our first impressions, we spent the first few hours cleaning the entire home. A little investment in the property would make this place an EXCELLENT value to future renters.

OCEANISLE BEACH AMAZING

We realy had a great time in this great town. Tom's House was perfect for our gathering we truly enjoy the space, the younger crew truly found the balconies perfect to hang out. The Kayaks were a great bonus to them. The location is perfect literally 3 min walk to the beach access. So many options to eat and hang out within minutes of the house. Thanks Tom, we will defintely come back!

Needs Love

After some miscommunication regarding check-in we had a very enjoyable week. The property has a great layout and easy access to the beach. However the property is in need of some love; the deck railing needs repair, porch furniture could could stand some repairing or updating, some plumping needs to be updated, the carpet could stand a good deep cleaning and fresh paint on the walls. The kitchen was very well stocked. All in all we had a great vacation and the price was fair.

Our stay at 1 Wilmington Beach was a “mixed bag.” On the positive side, it’s a short walk to the beach. The kids enjoyed fishing and kayaking in the canal, although there are some loose boards that need to be fixed. There are comfortable lounge chairs in the living room. While the house was clean overall, the carpets need heavy cleaning or replacement. When we arrived, we found the smoke detector on the kitchen counter. No big deal, we replaced the battery and rehung it. We could not use the light over the dining table because it had incorrect bulbs for a dimmer controlled light. The shower in one of the bathrooms was so clogged it could not be used at all during our stay. The ice maker did not work even when we reset it. Exhaust fans in 2 bathrooms do not work. The blinds (or what’s left them)in the master bedroom that cover the sliding door do not work. We had to hang a blanket over the door for privacy and to help keep out the light. We had back-and-forth communications with the owner starting the evening we arrived and informed him of the issues. He apparently contacted the maintenance person but they never showed up. We let owner know and he said: that’s strange…the maintenance person is usually reliable. We never heard back about this. I messaged the owner about checkout, he responded, but did not address that the maintenance issues were not fixed. House needs some attention and owner should be more communicative and find a maintenance person who will follow through.
