"Stayed at the villa for just under 3 weeks. Communication with Robert was excellent and he promptly answered our questions when required. The accommodation is excellent! The best that we have stayed in. The villa is large, spacious and really well equipped. Mornings and evenings spent on the balconies were a particular favourite. Supermarkets are nearby should you wish to stock up and eat in. Foz do Alehro is wonderful. Quiet, undeveloped and still not sufficiently on the tourist map to ever...

"Jos' villa is beautiful, set up really well for families with children of all ages and is really wll equipped. It's up in the hills surrounded by farmland and barely touched by tourism, which we loved, but is rarely more than 30 minutes away from beaches, lagoons, old towns and farmers markets around the area. Jos is an excellent host who responded straight away to any queries we had. The only recommendation we'd make is to replace the sofa bed with a proper bed which would be more...

"Really nice home but there is only a portable A/C unit. There is no outside vent on the portable unit so it was useless. The house holds heat with little cross ventilation if bedroom doors are closed. We had to open the sliding doors. No screens so I got a lot of mosquito bites. We loved the location and very private."

"We really enjoyed our stay at the villa, it’s a lovely part of the world and definitely worth visiting. We would definitely recommend that you hire a car as there is not much within walking distance. The villa was lovely, lots of space, well presented and very comfortable. The only negative is that the pool is not heated, so wasn’t used very much. The owner was really helpful before our visit and offered lots of advice and suggestions. Overall it was a great holiday."

"This villa is exactly as the photos show.It is extremely well laid out and comfortable. The heated pool is absolutely brilliant and so enjoyable for everyone. Te area is quiet and a short walk to the beach or the local shops. Sao Martinho has a fantastic selection of restaurants for all tastes and budgets. Adilia was wonderful and helped us with all our queries. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Salir de Porto and highly recommend it."

"We loved the house , modern, tastefully decorated. Fab garden and nice and quiet as is the resort. Local beach is 10 mins away by car and stunning. More like a surfing beach as waves are huge. Definitely recommend the house. The resort has a great golf course, some tennis and oaddle courts and a club house. A great week for my family"

"The house is beautiful and well equipped. There was an issue with the heated pool and the owner worked diligently to resolve it. Easy check in and check out. If you want to stay near the Foz do Arelho area than this property should be on your radar screen."

"Location is very nice, house is really good but poorly maintained and cleaned. Looks like owner is not using profesional cleaning services as is very visible when we arrived. We cleaned the house by ourselves two times.m, coming and going. There were many things not working properly. Location make anyway sense."

"We stayed at Villa Foz for nine nights, there were 10 of us ranging in age from 2- 65. I would say a car is essential as everything is at least a 10 minute drive away with the bigger supermarkets being about 15 minutes away. You can walk to the beach and to Foz but this takes about an hour. The Villa is beautiful, in a quiet street of 4 houses. "First the POSITIVE: Beautiful home with an incredible view. Lots of space, wonderful furnishings. Local managers are responsive and helpful when we asked about pool temperature (too cold to use most days), beach towels (locked up and unavailable), bike condition (broken and un usable). Note the listing also indicates a clothes dryer is available - but is is not functional. The NEGATIVE: "Musty, stale smell" (from the basement presumably) so penetrates the house that the smell is always present....

"Das großzügige Haus, ist sehr neuwertig und schön. Kleine Probleme wurden fast alle sofort gelöst. Da das Haus etwas abgeschieden vom Meer liegt, dachten wir, es wäre ruhiger. Alle 3 Schlafzimmer liegen leider an einer Durchgangsstraße, die auch Nachts stark und schnell befahren wird. Fenster öffnen ist unmöglich. Die super leise Klimaanlage hat das Problem gelöst. Tempolimit würde allen guttun."

"We stayed in this villa for 2 weeks. There were 7 of us and it was very spacious and clean. We had everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. Priscilla, the property manager, looked after us all very well. The only downside, and the reason for 4 stars, was that the pool had a slow leak which had obviously been there quite some time and which affected the cleanliness and appeal of the pool. We would return if the problem with the pool was rectified."

"We loved the house. It is a lovely property with all the equipment needed for a family with kids. We enjoyed the swimming pool and the surroundings. The owner was checking with us if we are fine and needed anything during our stay in the vila. I would highly recomend the property."
