"The place is clean and new but since it’s summer, fan is a must and that’s what we didn’t have. The location looks a little bit unsafe and so we took out all our valuable stuff from the car. But overall, for the price that we paid it was worth it. "

"We enjoyed our stay, the village is not to small and not to big. Plenty shops and restaurants in the vicinity. The house is old but because of this it is very charming, but if you are used to all the modern luxeries than it is not for you. The beds/matrasses are very good. This is not always the case in rental vacation homes. There is an outside sitting area which is covered, so even when it is raining you can sit ourside. The sauna is also a very nice plus. "We had the most amazing stay here! The view was beautiful, the beds were so comfortable, and the house was equipped with everything we could ever need. Peter was a gracious host, he surprised us with welcome treats and very responsive with any questions we had. There were quite a few stairs to get the home, but don’t let it deter you. We plan to return to the area again and would love to stay here again! "

Great Property…Killer view!

"A wonderful hotel with a view that could not be matched in the area. The room was comfortable and the air conditioning was a godsend as it was quite warm outside. The view from the terrace should not be missed. The property is a stone’s throw from old castle ruins (free) and an underground sandstone quarry (there is an admission fee), as well as a short walk from the old town. Full disclosure: the hotel is on the top of a hill. While the walk into town was all downhill and relatively easy, the walk back up to the hotel could be viewed as somewhat strenuous."

"Lovely accommodation food really good and great choice of breakfast. The only fault we had is with parking, after having driven 7 hours we found nowhere to park. We had to park on pavement across road, don't rely on parking being available. I think the great location and setting meant other non residents used the hotel parking."

"I was extremely happy with my stay at Hotel Landgrafen-Mühle. My room was immaculate, tastefully decorated, and reasonably priced. The hotel is very well run, and the staff was super helpful and friendly (and English speaking). Picturesque property, best schnitzel I had in Germany, and wonderful quiet. I left feeling calmed and recharged. A true gem, and I couldn’t recommend it more."

Simple hotel, good breakfast.

"After 1300hrs on a Sunday, check-in is bua a machine in a lobby off the car park, I met staff who were on their wst out and they were helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable, clean but basic. The price paid seems fair. Breakfast is an additional €14.90, the selection was very good and food quality is excellent. "
