"This was my absolute worst hotels.com experience hands down. The room was so dirty that I tried to cancel my reservation, a first ever. And I’ve stayed in some funky places but this takes the cake. The furniture had crusty stains like 3-D stains, the remote control was covered in some kind of sticky goo, sheets stained, burn holes in the blanket, bathroom was a nightmare. Had to wake up at 4am to catch a flight. There was a prostitute coming in and out of an open room, homeless guy (very nice...

Hills Cottage with Panoramic Views & Hot Tub. Pet Friendly!
10/10 Excellent
"The two rooms we stayed at were great, providing both me and my friends space and privacy. The cabin with loft was such a lovely space to be in and relax. We all really appreciated the hot tub to relax in at the end of a long day and the view was so gorgeous. It was easy to communicate with Lukas and he was very accommodating to our needs. It was simple enough to have our dog with us and used a side panel fence to separate areas between the front and backyards. To use the bathroom you do have to go through the other bedroom which was ok for our situation. I would recommend the mattress be updated for the room attached to the bathroom. Parking was easy on the street and the neighborhood felt very safe, quiet and peaceful. My friends and I would definitely love to return to this spot in the future. "
"The host was great and readily available to answer any questions. Property was clean and comfortable. Outdoor area was nice for our dogs. The listing said it was a 3 bedroom 3 bathroom that slept 6. We were only given access to 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms which was okay since it was just the 2 of us but not sure what would’ve happened had we needed the third bedroom and bathroom since that is what we paid for."
"Can't accurately rate the house DID NOT stay, paid for it didn't feel safe in the neighborhood so we didn't stay. Cars and junk cars parked on both sides of the street, could barely through Houses on block had bars on windows and fences around the house. Really"
Peaceful cottage in Oakland hills with WiFi access
2/10 Terrible
"I am not sure if it's the property manager, who did call and apologize the next day, or VRBO processes and management. We were not able to access the property at midnight, having just arrived in Oakland. After repeated attempts to contact the property manager all day for a door code, I finally called VRBO. The property had been rented, possibly under a different company. I am not sure. We were left to find accomodations at 1 AM. The property was right by the family's house we were visiting so we were disappointed not to stay there. VRBO did refund the money, I felt they could have offered a discount for a future rental. This was a major inconvenience. "
4+br/2ba house near OaklandAirport & RaiderStadium
2/10 Terrible
"The pictures do not represent the house. The furniture was questionable and the bathrooms were not welcoming. The biggest problem however was that the location was not safe. We were warned by our lyft driver not to go around the neighborhood at night. We left after one night because we were concerned about the safety. The neighbor's dogs barked for hours. Others arrived with a rent a car and you cannot park in the driveway. We were worried about the car being broken into. We will say that the owners were responsive to the concerns about the dog but you cannot change the location."
