This property had everything and more to keep everyone in my family entertain! Nice and spacious, clean! I like how the house sat back some, so in the mornings you could see the lake with the morning sun. Great deck all the way around the house. My family and I willl definitely be back! Thank you for a great experience. the a
Location was nice, however, with the listing stating “lake view” and “lake access” we thought it would be on the lake…it is not. You get a tiny view of the lake between some trees and past the houses on the other side of the street. The house was clean but had a musty smell. The biggest complaint was the water pressure. You didn’t just lose pressure in the shower if someone else turned the water on….your water would completely turn off. If someone is in the shower you can’t use the sink, dishwasher, or other shower. Don’t even THINK about water or the person on the shower will lose it. Luckily the hot tub was nice and clean, we were really looking forward to that.
Stay was good! Some issues with the house like low water pressure/no soap in bathrooms/ and the bathroom doors barely locked. Enough space for everyone though and great location
We absolutely loved our stay at Knee Deep Retreat. The only issue we had was the TV's did not work and we had to call someone to come fix them. You should replace the TV in the master bedroom on the top floor. We never could get it to work.
Our family stayed here for a week. The location provided us with a true woodsy feel. We even were able to tell when a bear was near or passed by. Although it rained all but the last day of our stay, we were very comfortable staying indoors. For our party of 8 there was plenty of room and the layout of the main floor kept us connected. The kitchen provided us with all the cooking/serving items we needed and the laundry room right next to the kitchen was helpful. The king size bedroom on the loft was very spacious and we loved the connected bathroom, we were able to take our time getting ready. The main level bedrooms were right across from each other which was perfect for my brother and his kids who slept in the bunks. The lower level bedroom was the least favorite as it was FREEZING cold no matter what we tried regarding the thermostat. It was also very damp smelling and emptying the air de-humidifiers was not a pleasant task every day. We LOVED the fireplace and were able to enjoy smores right next to it. In between the rain we did enjoy sitting outside on the deck at the picnic table- I think that updated deck furniture with more sitting space would make it better. The home is very well lived in and can really use a refresh with new furniture throughout and some updates in the bathrooms. Also, a bummer that streaming tvs aren't in the bedrooms The host was EXTREMELY responsive and that made any issues we encountered - not feel like issues.

House was okay but wouldn't stay again
House was good size but needed some tlc. Water was very hard and the iron stained everything and smelled awful. House needs a water softner. Lake access wasn't really lake access. It's just a boat drop. Outside walkways need cleaned and repaired. I messaged rental manager several times and never received a response. House just needs a few improvements. I don't feel it was worth the money.
This house has just about anything you need for a fun weekend. Pool table, hot tub, fire pit, views, etc. only one complaint: the beds are SO uncomfortable. The floor was honestly more comfortable than the bed and that’s not an exaggeration.
Let’s start with the outside of the house. It looks exactly like the pictures except there really isn’t a backyard. The fire pit is in the grass of on the side of the house there is a grass area over there approximately 25’ x 15’ feet right next to the woods. The house is 3 levels. All the beds were as described correctly, the only bed we had issues with was the tumbler. It was broken and did not look well taken care of at all.. the person assigned to that bed preferred to sleep on the couch in the living room. We did not use the fireplaces, the one in the basement was broken apparently and the main and upstairs level don’t get as cool as the basement. Whenever it felt like 75 degrees up stairs it felt like 55 degrees in the basement. There is definitely an issue with the pipes all the water including the sinks, showers and tubs smelt like Pennie’s or copper. Made us feel like we should brush our teeth with bottled water and made us feel uncomfortable showering. The house is beautiful but definitely country living. The only thing modern was the renovated bathroom in the basement. They provided an air purifier in the because meant because I feel like all basements should have one but the filter had not been changed and it wasn’t working. Other thank that, the house did service it’s purpose and was in a beautiful location, just a few yards from the water. There neighbors houses were closets than we wanted them to be but luckily when we were there the neighbors were not. Over all I’ll give this house a solid barely making it 4 stars. They should really work on the pumping though.
