The Love Shack is a quintessential beach cottage oozing with charm, character and knotty pine. During your stay, you can soak up the ocean views from the cozy living room and kitchen or take less than 30 steps to walk across the street to the beach access!

This retro-style kitchen will make you feel like you're in your very own diner. Put on some disco and dance as you make something to snack on, and enjoy it at the bar overlooking the water through the large open window. The living room provides plenty of comfortable seating so you can sit back, relax and watch a movie on the flat-screen T.V., or watch the film of nature by looking at the waves outside.

The Love Shack is perfect for the whole family with a king, a queen, two twin beds and a pack-and-play (all refreshed in 2024). Two fur babies (dogs only) are welcome to stay and will be met with their own collapsible food/water bowls that you can bring with you to the beach (or Deer Island - only one block away) to play!

The Love Shack holds a piece of Oak Island history as one of the only Hurricane Hazel (1954) houses left on the island. The Love Shack is waiting for you to add your memories - book today to have a chance to stay at this funky piece of paradise!

Fun Bungalow with Perfect Location

Our family had a great stay! It is the best location, right across the street from the beach access so it took us 2 minutes to get onto the beach. That made it so easy for us with young children and we spent so much more time being on the beach because it was so easy to run back for anything or just to have a little break. The house was very clean and perfect size for our family. We had 2 adults and 3 children all under 12. The kids loved the fun decorations in the house too. The listing showed a fun bunkbed that wasn't there when we arrived, so they were a little disappointed for a few minutes, but there were still plenty space and beds for everyone. You should definitely book your stay at this house!

We enjoyed the Love Shack. The location is AMAZING with a short walk to the beach and a leisurely bike or car ride from everything we needed. The few small hiccups were addressed by the property manager promptly and professionally. The property was accurately depicted and what you see is what you get.

Cute retro beach cottage. Convenient to beach and local attractions. Minor issue with clutter (from previous renters?) and malfunctioning deadbolt upon arrival. Incident was reported to management company and handled.

Disappointed

Was disappointed in how much this property hasn’t been kept up... some door locks didnt work, several blinds didn’t work, no blinds on the side door the screened in porch didn’t even have screens on it ... I really liked all the unique stuff inside the house, but the house is very congested... could’ve even plug my hairdryer and curling iron up the same time as it would blow The breakers and lights went out and I felt the house had not been cleaned very well... I had to clean the hair from the tub drain from the guest before us...
