Gather your family and up to two canine companions and spend some well-deserved vacation time at Heelin' by the Sea, located at the westernmost end of Oak Island. Featuring views of the Intracoastal Waterway and a private dock in a quiet and charming neighborhood that is an island unto itself, modern elegance meets the serene beauty of nature at this coastal retreat.

The open concept living space is decorated in quiet beach-inspired neutrals. Relax together on the pair of sofas to watch a movie on the large, wall-mounted Smart TV (please note that the pictured fireplace is not available for guest use). The sturdy wooden dining table is set for six but can fit more thanks to available bench seating. In addition, four bar chairs are available at the adjacent breakfast counter.

The modern kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook and serve meals during your stay. Designed to make cooking a joy, the separate oven mounted high on the wall means there's no need to stoop to pull out hot cookie sheets or heavy casseroles or to pause stirring any pots bubbling on the range top to let someone access an oven underneath you. The sandy-toned counters and tile backsplash, natural wood accents and amber lighting fixtures combine to create a warm and welcoming space. If you prefer to cook outside and dine alfresco, you'll find a gas grill available and numerous outdoor seating options for meals, drinks or just relaxing.

Two bedrooms are available on the lower floor, along with a half bathroom with hall access. One bedroom is furnished with a queen bed, while the other offers two twin beds along with a Smart TV. The rest of the bedrooms are on the second floor, where you'll also find a laundry room providing a full-sized washer and dryer. A full bathroom with a standard tub/shower combo and hall access is shared between a bedroom furnished with two twin-over-twin bunk beds and a bedroom with a king bed. The king bedroom offers direct access to a small private balcony, afforded shade and privacy by Oak Island's famous trees and with water views to either side.

The master suite is also furnished with a king bed. This oversized bedroom offers a small sitting area along with a desk for those who must bring work along for their stay. A large Smart TV is available to stream your favorite shows in privacy. The attached private bathroom offers plenty of space to get ready for the day's adventures, including his and hers sinks and a glass and tile step-in shower stall. A large sunken garden tub provides the perfect spot to soak weary muscles if you overdo things in the surf! This suite also offers direct access to a partially covered balcony equipped with a bistro table and a pair of captain’s chairs. This balcony is also accessible from the second floor hallway.

Even with all this gorgeous home has to offer, you're bound to spend much of your time outside, where you'll find a spacious screened porch overlooking the backyard and private dock. This space offers a TV, comfortable furniture for lounging and conversation, ceiling fans and an outdoor dining table for six. The small attached open deck, where the gas grill is located, also offers an outdoor dining table for four with an umbrella.

On the ground level you’ll find a professionally landscaped front and backyard. The double driveway offers parking for at least six vehicles. Under the home, there is an enclosed outdoor shower with hot and cold water that makes cleaning up after a beach visit a breeze – why track sand inside when you can send it down the drain instead? There is a large counter ideal for cleaning up the catch of the day or organizing supplies and equipment under the home, and spaces for relaxing, dining and sunbathing scattered throughout the outdoor spaces.

Cornhole, boogie boards, beach toys and beach chairs are provided for your use. Explore the island’s waterways together – kayaks, paddleboards and life jackets are available for your use. Launch into your adventure from the private dock, where you can also moor your own small boat, fish in the waterway or just sit and take in the scenery and peaceful vibes. If you prefer to explore by land, the garage also houses a variety of bikes and even a bike trailer for young children along with a selection of helmets. You’ll also find a ping pong table in this space, ready to host the ultimate family table tennis tournament.
