This close-to-town farmhouse was perfect for our small gathering of two elder generations of the family. It is sunlit and spacious and takes advantage of a gorgeous view of fields and a pond lively with water birds. Peace and relaxation in a quiet country setting... no traffic noise, just a few geese and redtailed hawk calls... There are nice couches and chairs placed perfectly in the living room, sun room, and deck, so you can move between shade and sun, and keep chatting while watching the sky and farm. The beds were great, and there is a futon as well, so we could sleep all four of us easily. The kitchen handled our cooking for 4 -6 people, with a nice counter/stools as well as a table big enough for 6. Jennifer was super helpful - brought us fresh farm eggs, extra bedding, and offered to bring a big stew pot if I needed one, and she had also mowed a path down through the fields to the pond, making a pleasant loop that we walked every day! This is a farm property with well water (good tasting) and a septic system, so one must respect that, with the reward of the countryside setting. The house is simply but very comfortably outfitted, and everything was clean, carpet was nice, laundry available. There is no dishwasher, but we had fun washing up together. There is a collection of games, a very good TV, and good wifi. All our family members really enjoyed this home. If we gather again in the coming year, we will definitely be coming back!
