Really Rustic cabin right on the ocean. Amazing stay to watch boats go by, beach combing, majestic mountains, and tons and tons of birds. Right on the flight path, so really exciting days & evenings supporting our incredible Navy. Well stocked kitchen w/tons of utensils & bakeware, shower is incredible, very comfortable bed and bedding. Lots of comfortable seating & cozy blankets inside & out. All in all and incredible stay. Thank you so much for sharing your incredible cabin with all of us!
Wonderful place for a romantic retreat. Private, quiet, and near town to be convenient too! Has evrything for cooking at home. Cozy and would stay again.

Awesome stay on Whidbey Island
This house had everything we needed and then some. Location was perfect. The beach was so nice and most of the time I had it to myself. Loved the jets taking off & landing at the base. Just a great stay!! We will definitely be back and highly recommend.

Whidbey Island getaway
We loved this quaint little home right on the beach. Reading the history of the home and seeing the family photos really added to the character and charm. It was great to take walks on the beach and see various wildlife daily. Such a charming home that went perfectly with the charming and magical island.
The place is overall great, well kept, comfortable. Would have been nice to have coffee available but that s expected when the mgt is Vacasa, a separate company that requires you to download their app to get the codes to get in etc. A bit of a hassle on the front end but was overall worth it and we d stay again.

Great week on Puget Sound
Such a beautifully decorated and well stocked house. We cooked every meal and enjoyed eating while overlooking Puget Sound. On quiet days (no wind), we actually loved to hear revelry coming from the air station at sunset. Thanks for a great stay.

Relaxing weekend on the beach
Really enjoyed the weekend on Whidbey Island. Started off with a walk on the beach down to Deception Pass. A little over 4 miles round trip, but a beautiful walk and scenery. The beach house was perfect. Great layout and has everything you need. The raised deck needs a scraping/sanding, but still a perfect spot to watch the sunset from.

Absolute perfection!
We’ve stayed in countless VRBO’s throughout the US and this definitely made the top of the list for the Northwest. Proximity to the beach could not be better and the view, despite on and off rain, is spectacular! The home is warm and rustic with every amenity needed for a relaxing and comfortable stay. I loved the old photos of the original builder/owner. Didn’t do a great deal of cooking but the kitchen had everything necessary. Looking forward to a return trip in the summer!

Perfect for Getaway!!!
This house had everything I hoped for and needed!! It was cozy and comfortable with a wide variety of places to sit and enjoy (both inside and out) the sounds of waves on the beach and the variety of birds. All the amenities were there that are wanted or hoped for including a few ways to make coffee. Easy walking access to the beach which was walked many times! Each day that I was there I soaked in the gorgeous sunsets and embraced the quiet mornings to enjoy my coffee and journal. The perfect getaway!!!!

A Magical Place
I thoroughly enjoyed my 4 night stay at this quaint beach cottage on the water and look forward to my next stay. It was a 10 star experience! The place is well equipped for comfort and convenience throughout, and the waterfront setting is spectacular - perfect for long walks throughout the day. The family history themes on display around the home made it extra special and cozy - a testimony to the current owner's pride, love and respect of the home's legacy. Thanks for a great stay! I'll be back!
4 day stay … could have easily stayed longer. Great beach just steps from the house, roomy, well stocked with kitchen supplies, comfortable, nice shower, WiFi reception good, tv good, newer appliances, very little to not pic about. Yard maintenance could have been a little better and with no AC the place did get warm on the hot afternoons, but cooled down good by bedtime. Bottom line… we will stay here again!!! Without hesitation!!

Great Weekend at a Charming Whidbey Island Cabin
We had a delightful weekend at this enchanting cabin on Whidbey Island! Nestled in a serene location, the cabin was not only incredibly cute but also immensely comfortable, decorated with unique beach finds that instantly made it feel like a cozy home away from home. The comfy bed was a perfect end to our days spent exploring the nearby Deception Pass, conveniently located within walking distance.
What truly set this place apart was its private beach access, providing us with stunning and exclusive views, especially breathtaking during the sunsets viewed from the large deck. We made good use of the BBQ and kitchen for our dinners, finding everything we needed for home-cooked meals.
Relaxing on the spacious deck, soaking up the sun, and watching the spectacular sunsets proved to be a highlight of our stay. Despite its central location, which made local attractions readily accessible, the cabin offered a peaceful retreat, perfect for those moments when we wanted to unwind and soak in the tranquil natural surroundings.
Our stay was absolutely wonderful, and we're looking forward to returning to this lovely cabin. It’s the perfect spot for anyone seeking a comfortable and picturesque escape on Whidbey Island!
Great Home, Strict policies and unresponsive Management
I Loved the Beach house, it's history, cozy decor and amenities met all our needs.
Where things fell short, was specifically in regards with the property management company Vacasa.
Their guest and no party policy seemed unusually strict. "All guests must be added to the reservation ,even if guests are not staying the night, or be formally evicted with no refund, no parties whatsoever."
I was hoping to invite my brother and his fiance over to celebrate our wedding anniversary with some takeout and cake. Does this qualify as a party? I'm a nearly 30 bookworm. I don't throw loud ragers.
The Cabin has so many amenities for entertaining, and sharing memories with loved ones but the very strictly worded notices on the fridge suggested otherwise. I called the property manager's number that was listed in the binder, "Cassandra". I was hoping to get my guest family members added to the booking but no one answered and there was no voicemail box set up.
We had to change our plans last minute to find a way to celebrate the occasion. The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth. Which was extra frustrating because the home was wonderful otherwise.
This adorable house was right on the water, with a beautiful view & beach access! I enjoyed sitting on the deck & looking at the water. The décor and updates to the home were fabulous considering it was built in the 1950's. It was clean, kitchen well stocked, bed comfortable, & plenty of linens. I appreciate the warning about the navy planes. I checked the flight schedules in advance as recommended & nothing was planned. I wasn't sure what to expect. I have no idea what is typical for the planes taking off from this NAS (or any other for that matter). Flights take off & this house is in the flight path, just north of the runway that was being used (you can see it on google maps). The planes taking off were mostly F16's or F18's. They are close & you get a close view! On Tues, 4/15 from 5-8pm, 3 fighter jets took off; from 8-10pm 22 took off, there was 1 fly over. Wed, 4/16 from 9a-1pm, 21 took off, 3 fly overs (including a helicopter). From 8pm-1030pm 5 took off, 4 fly overs. On Thurs, 4/17 from 845-11am 7 took off (including a commercial looking jet plane), 6 fly overs. I was curious about the decibel levels. Using an online decibel meter, when the jets took off it was 98 dB in the house with all the windows & doors closed. It was 108 dB inside the house with the bedroom windows & backdoor open. Sitting outside the house it was 110 dB. To be clear, the owners have no control over this. I anticipate some days have less flights taking off than others, it is an active NAS.

Beautiful beach house
Very comfortable beach house with beautiful views.
This is truly right on the beach and easy to take a beach walk. It is next to a public beach access, so there are plenty of fisherman coming for a boat launch and lots of water activity. The unit is secluded and quiet and an easy drive to Deception Pass and Oak Harbor.
This beachfront cabin was delightful. It’s comfortable, cozy and clean with so many lovely details — like the collection of beach glass, driftwood decor and pictures of the family. The patio furniture and blankets kept us warm while we enjoyed the amazing sunset and sound of the waves. It’s just a short walk to the beach if you want to dip your toes in the icy water or sit on a log and breathe in the salty air. Truly a special place. We are so happy the owners are sharing it.

Beach house
Great little house with fantastic beach location. Only drawbacks are the naval air station nearby and windows that don’t open so it gets very hot in summer. You have to keep the front and back door open to get any breeze and there are no s teens on the doors. The chipmunks and bunnies want to stop in for a look around. Other than that, it’s a fun, mid century vibe and a house right in the beach!
The wife and I needed a getaway close to home and were looking for cozy and intimate. The Cooke House gave us so much more. You could feel the generations of history here; from the man, Mr. Cooke, who built this place log by log and brick by brick with his own 2 hands.
