"It’s a wonderful property- or once was….needs a million dollar clean up and update…..Staff are wonderful and the restaurant and Rafters Bar are wonderful hangouts in the off season. Nice trails and location. Easy access to Alexandria and interesting check points all around."

"A beautiful home with gorgeous lake views! This home was exceptionally clean and well stocked with everything needed for an enjoyable stay. The kitchen had everything needed to make dinners and the beds were very comfortable. We saw so much wildlife including deer, fox, squirrels, pheasants, pelicans, loons, ducks, and other waterfowl. "It accomplished exactly what we needed pet friendly, time away to just hangout with friends and family without the distractions of work and life.However, in one of the bedrooms there were a dirty pair of pants let in the room on the floor and a pacifier from the previous people on the ground. Also, we came in the winter, so I am assuming the summer experience is excellent, but during the winter, at least, the water was untreated and smelled so bad that people chose not to take showers and brushed their teeth with bottled water."
