A home away from home.
A very pleasant stay. It was similar in style and surrounds to our own home so truly felt like a home away from home. Kim was great to communicate with and I would happily recommend this place.

A lovely house for a weekend away
We had a lovely weekend staying at this property. The house and surrounding garden were both beautiful. We saw so many different birds, including a pair of king parrots. The house is warm and welcoming, and all of the beds are super comfortable. Thank you for a lovely stay, we hope to come back and stay again sometime!

A country retreat
This was a great location, 15 minutes from a tourist destination, set back on a quiet road. You can have a relaxing holiday with very little activities, or as a base to explore the area. The spa was great and offered that relaxing time that many need when on holiday. For those who like to cook there is the wood fired pizza oven. The house is surrounded by a fence that kept our dog in. We really had a great time, enjoying the peace and tranquility of the country. We would highly recommend staying here.

Was a slice of heaven
Cant thank Kim and Steve for having us was absolutely amazing. Well needed break everyone had a blast, spa wood fire pizza a day camp fire and bush walks.

Amazing stay!
We had a great stay at the country house retreat. Steve and Kim were excellent hosts, very easy to communicate with and accomodating to our needs. The house was beautiful, in a very convenient location and provided everything you could ever need. We had a great stay sitting by the fire, cooking wood fired pizza and relaxing in the spa. Would highly recommend.

Property was an or some place to spend a holiday with family & friends. So much to offer with lots of places to visit close by. The house itself was very clean & well presented with lots of room & very comfortable beds. Pizza oven & the spa were used a lot. Overall one of the best holidays spent with family.

Fantastic holiday getaway for two families - spacious and exceptionally well stocked with kitchen essentials. Wood fire pizza oven and the spa were very popular. Communication with host was great and kids also loved feeding the sheep and fishing for yabbiesl.

Everything we could ask for
We had to cancel our regular Qld holiday and rebook in the Gippsland Lakes. Staying at Country House Retreat made us almost forget we were ever going to go to Qld. This quiet, beautiful and comfortable setting gave us the best of the country and the beach life. The house is even better than it looked in the photos and had everything we needed for a great stay. Our kids spent time with the farm animals and we all loved roaming the private bushland behind the house. Whilst the owners were always available to answer any queries, we had complete privacy. Sitting out on the deck watching the birds in the warm evenings was blissful. We absolutely loved our stay and it has made us reconsider our regular Qld trip.

So peaceful
We have just had a wonderful 6 night stay at the house. My family and my sisters family (total of 6) thoroughly enjoyed our time at the house and enjoyed the areas activities. The house is well proportioned and appointed, we particularly enjoyed the deck and the pizzas we made in the wood fired oven. The outlook is glorious, so quiet and tranquil yet so close to Metung and Lakes Entrance. I recommend the house highly as a place to except to yet be close to facilities and lots of fun activities.

Beautiful Property
This is a lovely, big home located on beautiful land. Being pet-friendly was a major bonus for us, as were all the other add-ons; pizza oven, spa, games area and outside fire. The house is roomy, comfortable and very well equipped. The inside fire does an outstanding job of keeping the house warm on the cold winter nights we experienced. We had a wonderful time and look forward to coming back soon.

Great country accommodation
Well appointed house, great outdoor area. Loved the pizza oven and bbq. It was well fenced, didn’t worry about the dog getting out, he was bemused by the sheep though. There was no reason to leave had everything you’d need.

Great Country House!
Really enjoyed our stay! The outdoor area, especially the wood oven, was enjoyed by our two families and kids. Location is fantastic and really close to Metung and Lakes Entrance. I have already recommended the place to friends. Hope to be back one day!
