Small but comfortable room in a quiet location a short walk from restaurants etc

During our family vacation, we had a disappointing experience at your hotel. From the day we arrived, I requested a room change because our room had a strong musty smell. Unfortunately, although the hotel was fully booked, we had to stay in that room for our entire visit. What concerned us most was the attitude of the staff member in charge of the buffet. She was consistently rude and unfriendly. She even said to my son, "Do you think I'm going to work harder for you when you're the one on...

This was a good location for exploring the beaches nearby also near the Universuty of New Hampshire.

Pros: Good beds Great to have a little kitchen in the room Breakfast was great Cons: Terrible noise insulation! The first few nights were fine, and then the last night it sounded like toddlers were wrestling in the room above us at 2am, the room next to us played music we could hear, and there was yelling in the hallway partway through the night. It took it from the best hotel experience we’ve had to the worst.

We needed a hotel in the Portsmouth area for one night and the Marriot Portsmouth fitted the bill nicely. I had everything we needed on site and we enjoyed the little touches, free laundry powder and fabric softener and a really good breakfast which set us up for the next day. We would be happy to stay here again in we were passing this way.
