"My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was well-equipped and conveniently located a short walk from the lake, downtown, and Hoover Auditorium. The air conditioning worked great on hot and humid days and on more pleasant days we especially enjoyed relaxing on the front porch. We would definitely stay there again."

"There were some hiccups with the cleaning people, which delayed the cottage being cleaned before we arrived. The property owner responded fairly quickly but the property wasn’t ready for us until after 9:00 pm. There were a few maintenance issues (outside window pane broken, bathroom mirror lights inoperable, loose toilet seat, and a nearly full outdoor trash container with the remnants of cleaned fish). But nothing that we couldn’t live with. Overall, we enjoyed our stay."

"The Laurel haus was a great fit for our family of 6 adults and 6 kids! True to its description, the beds were comfy and kitchen was large and stocked with anything you will need. In addition to the kitchen being well equipped, the cottage had toys, books and games, sand toys, tennis racquets and fishing poles. The overall spacious layout allowed us to spread out. Many of us were drawn to the screened in porch! The kitchen and bath were updated, however, the house retained its vintage cottage...

"I was a bit disappointed while at the pool area. There was no supervision / parents and the kids were not listening to the pool employees when told to stop. There was also a line to get into the hot tub and no one was managing that issue. The cottage was great, just wish the pool wasn't so chaotic."
