During stay, there were a lot of kids of varius ages being kids..running, playing, being happy and a little noisy but staff understood that it's a New Year's Eve and allowed all people to enjoy themselves. "I stayed at the Ameristar East Chicago for 21 nights over 11 stays in fall 2025, travelling for business. It doesn't have everything (breakfast) and is in an odd location. But it was half or less than hotels in Hyde Park, had free parking, big rooms, was always clean and quiet, and the front desk staff was awesome. Shout out to Danica, who was not only a joy but who directed me to the rooms with the best wifi."
