Journeys End Chalet - Minutes to Jay Peak!

Welcome to the Journeys End Chalet! We are located just a quick 10 minute ride from the base of Jay Peak Resort, home to some of the best skiing and riding in the Northeast. The chalet is set on a beautiful and private 11 acres just a stones throw from the Canadian border. We love all dogs and your well behaved furry friends are welcome in our home. We are located directly on the VAST trail system so bring your snowmobile and enjoy!

Our 2 bedroom chalet has an open floor plan and a spacious loft with 2 double beds. The master bedroom has one Queen bed. There are 2 futons located downstairs in the man cave which has toasty radiant heat for the cold winter months in the Northeast Kingdom. There is also a pool table downstairs which is a guest favorite. There are 3 flat screen TV's as well as super fast WIFI which guests will have access to. Bring your Netflix login and have a cozy movie night! The house boasts a HUGE elevated deck that can be enjoyed year round and is great for taking in the outdoors. We are located directly off a town maintained dirt road and our guests have full access to the property and can enjoy 11 private wooded acres complete with an outdoor fire pit.

Great private cabin, 12minutes from Jay's Peak

Cabin was nicer than the pictures, tons of space for the 6 of us (and a dog). The two fire pit areas and huge deck are great. Jay's peak was only only 12min away, and there was a nice little hike at the end of the dead end road.

Journey's End is a wonderful place to stay. Booking and communication were excellent. The house is located comfortably outside of town but not too far...very quiet and peaceful. Everything you need is there and very clean. Recommended.

Great Ski Get Away!

We had an awesome stay and Anthony and Haleigh were extremely accommodating and easy to communicate with! Great location close to Jay Peak but it’s nice to escape the commotion of the resort at night and have your own comfortable retreat.

Great family vacation

We went as a group of 6 teenagers, 2 adults and 2 large dogs and had an amazing time! Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well equipped and the house was very clean upon arrival. I would return and recommend without hesitation!

Mountain get-away

We had a wonderful time at Journey's End! The property, amenities, and home decor were lovely. There was not tons to do nearby in the summer, but we enjoyed some kayaking, lots of relaxing, hanging out by the fire pit, playing pool, and venturing into Newport VT and Magog QC.

Perfect stay!

We had an awesome stay at this property. The home is well equipped and everything is intuitive. We did not need to contact the owners for any needs or questions during the stay. The property was clean, comfortable and well-furnished. Our pets were very happy there. The set up of the home is great for skiers - the entrance from the driveway is a lower floor that is heated and great for placing boots/equipment away from the general living/communal areas. Very well laid out. We would love to stay here again!! Thank you H & A!

Great house close to Jay Peak

The house was clean, well equipped and cozy. Jay Peak was only a short drive and the property offered privacy and a beautiful deck. We especially loved the lower level entrance that allowed us to lay out our gear to dry before packing it back up again. The game room was a bonus and had two extra futons for more guests. The best part......pet friendly! Our pups LOVED the house and yard. Communication with the owner was nearly instant and friendly. We will most likely book this house again next Thanksgiving :-)

My husband and I had some renovations in the house and had to get away for a week. What better way than to go to Vermont and just relax! :) We have 2 small dogs and finding properties that are suitable for them is always a bit of a challenge, but this one was perfect! Porch, high enough above the ground, so that they cannot escape and go after wildlife - perfect! Loft office for my husband so that he could work a bit - convenient. Dog beds all around - adorable. The property itself is perfect! It had everything we needed for our stay and more. The location is beautiful and we took nice walks around the area several times a day. It's also great for taking the dogs on their comfort breaks. There are many locals stores around, so you don't need to pack a whole lot. Make sure you visit the local brewery - the pizzas are amazing!We really enjoyed our stay here and we hope to come back again soon.

Beautiful place

This place is amazing! We had a great time and enjoyed our stay to the last minute. The house is spacious, with a vary well stocked kitchen, comfy beds and a huge deck where we ate all our meals. We also had a lot of fun playing pool in the basement. There is tons of activities around, so it's really hard to get bored. We recommend a visit to the Jay Peak Resort and a cab ride to the mountain top. The views from there are stunning. We would give this property 6 stars if possible. We will gladly return next year. We love Jay

This was a perfect setting - close to Jay Community Recreation Center (beautiful trails), our favorite hikes, and the property itself was beautiful! Very well maintained yard, outdoor shower, fire pits, hammock - all wonderful touches. Finished basement with pool table provided a cool and fun respite from the heat. Kitchen and bathroom well stocked, plenty of towels (thank you), and overall was exactly as owners described. It was a great place to spend 4 days soaking up VT NEK. Thanks so much!

Back Road Gem

Wonderful property for a couples getaway or a friends trip to Jay Peak. The house was clean, spacious, and featured lots of unique amenities. We loved the loft beds, Game Room Basement, Fire Pits, wrap around porch, and the grill! We will surely be back. It was an added bonus that our beloved family pet was able to join us for the trip. Haleigh and Andrew were wonderful hosts that were easy to communicate with.

This place was great! Couldn’t ask for a better place to stay a week with the awesome weather. The property is big enough to do many activities outside. Inside can get tight if you have more than 10 people.

Work retreat

We needed a get away from home work weekend with our dogs and this beautiful place checked all of the boxes for us. The decor was updated, Wi-Fi was supercharged except for in the master and the views gorgeous!

GREAT house...soooo fun!

We've traveled extensively around the world and the owners of this property have clearly put a ton of effort into making sure you have everything you need to have a comfortable stay. Very well maintained. If you are looking for a mountain getaway, definitely consider this place.
