"The Lutsen Lookout was an absolutely fabulous place for our family of six to stay during the week between Christmas and New Year’s. The home was cozy, welcoming, and full of charm, and it was especially fun for our young boys to explore every corner. It truly felt like a winter getaway made for families.Todd was incredibly responsive and accommodating—he went above and beyond by helping us check in two hours early during a snowstorm, which made a stressful travel day so much easier. We were extremely grateful for his kindness and flexibility.The property had everything we could possibly need, making our stay comfortable and relaxing from start to finish. We made so many wonderful memories here and couldn’t have asked for a better location or experience. Thank you for such a great stay—we will absolutely be back!"

"This was our third family ski trip to Lutsen and this cabin was our favorite place to stay. The cabin was very comfortable and stocked with everything we needed. The decor and extra touches throughtout the cabin made our stay extra special. The location was perfect for skiing, winery, Cascade restaurant and we even found a lovely church for a Christmas Eve service. Highly recommend staying here and we hope to be back!"

"What a perfect setting in the woods and close to everything ie. Lutsen and Grand Marais. A few initial small glitches; however, Mr. Smothers was MORE than accommodating especially given it was Thanksgiving day. Pool was closed; however, the public pool in Grand Marais was open. A setting were several quiet walks with family was very relaxing and therapeutic! I HIGHLY recommend THE HIBERNATION HOUSE! "
