About this property
Aurora Skyline Lodge
Aurora Skyline Lodge is a spacious, cabin-inspired North Pole retreat designed for unforgettable group stays. With 5 bedrooms, a dedicated kids’ bunk room, and space for up to 16 guests, it’s ideal for families, friends, military visits, and holiday getaways. You’ll be just minutes from Santa Claus House and Eielson AFB, close to Fort Wainwright, and about 20 minutes from Fairbanks—giving you easy access to local attractions while still enjoying a peaceful Alaskan setting.
THE SPACE
Designed for large families and groups, the lodge offers 16 real sleeping spaces—no air mattresses:
You’ll also have 2.5 bathrooms, including two full bathrooms and a powder room, a fully equipped kitchen for group meals, and two smart TVs for cozy movie nights—even when it’s −30°F outside.
The highlight is the three-level patio, offering multiple places to enjoy Alaska’s dramatic skies. During aurora season, generally August 21 through April 21, step onto the upper decks, switch off the lights, and look up. Fairbanks tourism guidance often recommends staying at least three nights and watching during the late evening to improve your chances of seeing the northern lights, although every display depends on weather and solar activity.
In summer, the patios become a beautiful midnight-sun gathering place. Every bedroom includes blackout curtains, so you can still sleep comfortably during Alaska’s long daylight hours.
During the day, you’ll be minutes from Santa Claus House. Chena Hot Springs and dog-sledding experiences make memorable day trips, while downtown Fairbanks and Fairbanks International Airport are approximately 20 minutes away.
GOOD TO KNOW
This home is one side of a duplex. Our neighboring sister unit accommodates up to 13 additional guests. Reserve both units for family reunions, military homecomings, group vacations, and aurora trips with up to 29 guests.
The property is designed for Alaska winters, with dependable heating for extreme cold and a driveway that is regularly plowed. The aurora is a natural phenomenon and can never be guaranteed, but we’ll share practical viewing tips to help you make the most of your stay.
