"The room was very clean and the a/c worked great. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The kitchen/restaurant isn’t currently open but hopefully it will be soon. The ice maker doesn’t work but the front desk person was absolutely wonderful and went to the kitchen to get some. The place is undergoing some much needed renovations however; the facility is clean, quiet and is going to look phenomenal when completed. The price was very reasonable as well. I’d stay again if I was traveling through."

"The staff at the Hampton Inn were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast offered daily was basically as good as one might expect of hotel pre-prepared food. Yet the person managing the breakfast area kept it very neat. She even offered to bring us more coffee! She remembered guests that come through from time to time. So one feels welcome and a little more uplifted after breakfast. The front desk person was likewise friendly although I didn’t have as much interaction there."

"Nice outdoor area and 3 bedrooms with their own door and shades and blinds to keep the rooms dark. House was clean and had all the amenities needed. The shore area is pretty mucky, not really where youd want to swim but the public beach is just down the road. The house is very dark inside and the lights arent very bright, it could use some more lighting. Theres also one portable AC unit for the whole house, combined with fans for each room and weather that isnt super hot we made it work but would not be ideal during a hot streak."

"If you’re looking for rustic and isolated, yet comfortable, this is the place! We stayed for two nights over 4th of July weekend and it was so relaxing. No other people around (you can hear ATVs nearby sometimes, but they can’t see into the camp), no cell service or internet, just nature. Just run the generator for a few minutes to get ice cold running water from the well. The cabin wasn’t too hot at night with the windows open and the battery powered fan running (a nice touch). We never even used the lights or power receptacles, but they are there if needed. It was very buggy outside as expected during a Maine summer, but we were able to explore the surrounding trails without getting eaten up too bad, with lots of bug spray of course. Our dogs had a blast running around, and it was a nice stress-free environment for our one dog who is very reactive to others dogs and people. Overall a great spot to unwind and get away from it all!"

"This was a last minute reservation after looking at -20s for overnight temps, ice camping wasnt going to happen. Very welcoming, great check in process, very easy. Great communication, asked and were allowed to park for the remainder of the day so we could continue fishing. Water is turned off for winter in this unit, but water is available in a water cooler and the bathouse was close and super clean!! Will definately consider again!!"
