Gorgeous Property, But Invasive Owner and Terrible CommunicationThe house is beautiful and in a location with great beach access, but our stay was ruined by the owner’s poor communication and invasive behavior.Despite the listing stating the owner speaks English, we had trouble communicating as she does not. The house lacks air conditioning or fans in the main living area, making it uncomfortably hot. One of the bedroom units broke on a Friday, and after contacting her through my aunt (who speaks Greek), we were told it wouldn’t be fixed until Monday. She also asked us not to contact the management company overseeing the property.The unit eventually started working, but the owner accused us of using too much electricity and claimed we had extra people in the house, which was untrue. (Claimed neighbors were watching us and reporting to her!) She also began harassing us, calling my aunt multiple times.On Monday, Julia showed up at 9:00 with a cleaning lady to change sheets and towel, accused us of having extra guests again and asked for more money, creating an uncomfortable situation. On Friday, she showed up at 9:00 unannounced, let herself into the house, and claimed she “mixed up the dates,” even though check-out wasn’t until Saturday at 10:00 AM. We left on Friday because of the harassment!The property is stunning, but Julia’s unprofessionalism and constant intrusion made it impossible to enjoy. We wouldn’t recommend staying here unless management changes.
