Karen was attentive to our questions and the property was clean and like new. Giant fire pit outside made for a great time. Would definitely come back!!!
We enjoyed the instant relaxation that the cabin afforded. Close to plenty of fun outdoor activities but warm and welcoming for just hanging around playing games and enjoying conversation with family. Will definitely try to revisit in the summer as well!
We had a very pleasant stay at the cabin. Karen was very pleasant to deal with and had open communication before and during our stay. The cabin was comfortable, clean and well stocked. I would recommend Karen’s place to anyone traveling to the area!
We stayed at this lovely home for a family wedding weekend. Such a great mountain spot. The house was so well stocked, the perfect mountain cabin, so relaxing, clean, and well appointed. Comfortable beds. Everything we needed. I just wish I had more time to spend on the fantastic porch! We'll be back!
Loved it!
The cabin is bright and airy with high ceilings for maximum air flow that also gives you the feeling that you are in a much larger space.
We spent a lot of time in the woods on the property enjoying nature and practicing archery on the stuffed/foam targets that are there, we used the mountain bikes too and we went for hikes in the mountains where we came across animals that we had never seen or heard before like porcupine, beaver, coyote, owls, pheasants, newt/salamander, grass snakes and unusual looking frogs. Of course we encountered many wild deer and chimp monks.
The waterfalls at nearby Mine Kill Park are worth visiting after a day spent in the Olympic sized outdoor swimming pool and the diving pool all provided for free by the NYS Power Authority.
Every road we traveled on our way to the local tourist attractions, shopping centers, farmhouse restaurants and historical sites was picturesque. The local antique stores and flea markets were full of bargains for quality items not available in NYC.
Overall it is a fantastic place for a getaway and represents good value for the money with very friendly and helpful neighbors, we would definitely consider booking it again if the opportunity presents itself.
Super well furnished cabin and extremely gracious hosts
The property is amazing with beautiful furniture and decorations. The hosts were very responsive to our messages and super accommodating. We loved staying at their property, would highly recommend to anyone!
This property was very nice. The property owners were very nice and accommodating. Check in and out was easy and the cabin was cute and cozy. We had a lovely time.
I was looking for a secluded cabin to celebrate my Special Birthday. I couldn't have found a more perfect place than the Olivo's. The cabin was pristine and the host were immediately available anytime we needed them. I will definitely be back . Thank you Karen and Joe for a fabulous time.
From the host, to the cabin, to the area, and how easy it was booking and communicating with Karen - it was the much needed experience and vacation my girlfriend and I were looking for. The cabin itself was clean, warm, and pleasing to the eye. We were immediately made to feel at home upon entering. There's a really cool little hiking trail right off the cabin premises and there's a lot to do in the surrounding towns nearby. If I ever find myself itching for solitude, nature, or accommodation - I will absolutely book with this host again.
We enjoyed our long weekend getaway! The leaves this weekend were out of this world and the drive to the property was one of the best! The cabin was beautiful, clean, open and comfy! The stairs to the loft were a bit steep but after a few times up and down, they were not bad at all. There was plenty of room for 5 plus people. We enjoyed walking the property and the spotting the cute paintings on the trees. The lofted living room and windows were wonderful! Thanks to the host for an unforgettable weekend!
My boyfriend and I recently had the pleasure of staying at this Mountain Top Getaway and had an incredible experience. The property was clean, cozy, and had everything we ever needed for a comfortable stay. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind, surrounded by the beautiful scenery of the mountains. Karen was a fantastic host, providing quick and friendly responses to any questions I had during my stay. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. The drive to the property was also stunning, with breathtaking views of the mountains along the way. We can't wait to visit again and soak up more of the mountain air and beautiful scenery. Thank you for an unforgettable stay!
