"If you are looking for a romantic and/or upscale vibe, this is NOT the place. We were excited to do something special for our one-year anniversary, so I called the hotel prior to our stay and told two separate people that we would be celebrating our anniversary during our stay. It sounded like the person made a note of it, but somehow it was lost. The excuse provided by the front desk was that “it’s hard when you have 300 or 400 guests…” which was probably the worst thing to tell someone who just spent an excessive amount of money to have a less than ideal time. Paying $35 for a beach umbrella (no drink service at the beach) plus a resort fee felt pretty ridiculous. We felt like we were CONSTANTLY waiting for service, which is not what you want to do for an expensive stay. At breakfast, the food was pretty disappointing and our server did not check us at all (otherwise we would have said so) and we had to flag her down for our check. She still didn’t ask how our food was. Usually if you’ve messed up in a pretty big way, the only thing you can do to even try to make it better is offer some discount/money off just as a gesture. Apologies only go so far, and since you can’t go back in time, if the hospitality side of a business has failed, they need to make it right."

"Do not stay here. Worst hotel we ever stayed in and had to check out early after 1 night. The rooms stink, the pillows stink. Just avoid at all costs. Pay the extra $30 to stay somewhere you can actually sleep and breath in."

"Unfortunately, our stay was disappointing. We checked in and checked out within 10 minutes. The hotel was below average and did not meet expectations. There were visible holes in the cement walls, the hallways had an unpleasant odor, and the bathroom was located directly in the room with very little privacy. To make matters worse, the elevator made loud clanging noises every time it operated, which was concerning and disruptive. Overall, the property felt poorly maintained, and I would not choose to stay here again"

"Great price, clean room, great location - only regret I did not get a room near to the beach inspite of the request (with 2 small kids) - but the walk is not bad at all - they also let me do a late checkout for free as a courtesy - amazing place and dreamy beach - top notch!!!! will definitely will be back"

"This hotel was nothing but pleasantries!!! The reception was welcoming, accommodating and kind. The room was spacious, clean and up to date. Breakfast room , pool and gym are better and bigger than any other hotel in this category! Thank you for a relaxing , homely stay!"

"We were told we had a pool side room and our room was around the back where the employees entered. It was the worst experience for our family."

"I would advise anyone who is looking at this property to call them directly and see if they can get a better price. We paid $500 a night and when we got there we found out that other guests only paid $200. They had called directly and booked the same room at the hotel rate. When we spoke to the front desk, we were told that the manager has discretion to discount rooms when they have space. She said sometimes rooms have been as low at $100."
