"Unfortunately not at all as we expected. It really is in the middle of nowhere - so dangerous hairy roads to negotiate meaning no chance of fresh morning croissants. As to returning in the dark after a night out - definitely not! The interior is nicely decorated but not very cosy with a very basic kitchen definitely designed by someone who doesn't cook. We left after only one night!"

During our stay we visited Carcassonne, a medieval city-you should definitely visit at only an hour away by car. The locals were really kind and friendly. "The property is situated in a beautiful valley and the host provided guidance for things to see and do around. The gite is specious downstairs and the kids (and dog!) absolutely loved playing with the donkeys and the turtles. We were offered to purchase a home-cooked meal which was generous and tasty. After we'd paid for the gite the owner contacted us for €300 cash deposit, and told us about additional electricity charges per day.
