We enjoyed our stay at Shangri-La throughly. Staffs are friendly and professional and the hotel is very clean. Swimming pool and its changing rooms are well maintained. Alva of horizon club lounge is the highlight of our stay. It’s nice to see her with a big smile in the morning and her attention to details is amazing.

Shangri-La is one of my favorite hotel chain in China. This one is just not the one I imagined. Very aged restaurant. Need FULL renovation very soon. The staff as club lounge didn't even noticed me. No one cared about me there. One thing I still like was the view from the club lounge. I had to go the the restaurant down stair as the food collection was not good at all. Even the food at the restaurant also was not satisfactory.

As usual, Shangri La is a safe option in China. Good: - Friendly staff, they don't all speak english but they'll find someone who does - Clean and well located - Good breakfast - Damn i love the lobby fragrance of Shangri Las Could be better: -King bed was two beds place next to each other. Was still comfy, but had a small gap in between beds - Not the newest rooms, but clean and spacious

Most of the Staff were quite bad to be honest, considering that it’s a ‘shangri-la’ hotel. I mean, seriously, they shouldn’t be working there, at a 3-star hotel maybe, but not there... Though, 1 staff was quite good and nice, Russian guy Arthur, commended!

This Shangrila has amazing river views on the higher floors. We stayed in a spacious suite on the executive level. The exec. lounge has great evening snacks, happy hour and a great buffet breakfast with the view. Well equiped health club / gymnasium with a full size lap pool! The only problem here is they never seem to be able to use 1 my 4 different credit cards. Don't ask me why, but I come here twice a year, it happens every time. The free wifi is also quite a challenge to get connected to, and 100% censored. Please management team, make this simpler, and invest in a VPN. Foreighners are not impressed with the rediculous censorship. All luxury hotels in Shanghai, Guangzhou, Beijing have fast and functioning VPN wifi, you can too.

Staffs need more training
The overall stay was fine, except that the reception staff needs more training to concentrate on checking in without being distracted by people who did not line up yet rudely interrupt the process by barging in and ask questions.

An ideal hotel in Ningbo
Absolutely wonderful staff, always going out of their way to be helpful. Well-maintained hotel. Good location for most of the unique historical sites in Ningbo. Most of them walkable, if you have the time and energy (perhaps 30-45 minutes one way).

everything in the hotel is perfect, the river view is great, if you want to have dinner outside, need walk almost 1km to the Tianyi square where there are plenty of restaurants there.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Shangri-La Ningbo. Seven and his concierge team were excellent and assisted me with some reservations and mailing some items for me. Kitty in the lobby bar was very friendly and professional. I will return.

Anywhere else Im the world it’s just an average hotel. No one speaks English. Very long check in and check out process. Rooms Need to be updated. Lounge is nice. Lobby is pretty. Lobster bar restaurant is above average for Ningbo.
