10/10 Excellent
"Amazing location on the north cliff, next to three excellent restaurants - a beautiful beach viewpoint. The room was very spacious, bed comfortable, with good air con and wifi. Serviced well as needed. Staff helpful and responsive. Fridge and kettle provided. The only suggestions would to be provide a hairdryer and it really needed more plugs."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Nīndakara?
The best area to stay in Nīndakara is near the Nīndakara Harbour, which is the heart of the town's activity and offers easy access to the backwaters.

This area is primarily a working fishing port, so you'll find a genuine local experience here. It's where the Ashtamudi Lake meets the Arabian Sea, providing a unique landscape. The harbour itself is a bustling spot with fishing boats coming and going, and you can often see the day's catch being brought in. Staying here positions you well for exploring the backwaters.

Couples looking for a distinctive and tranquil experience will appreciate this area. Many of the accommodations here offer views of the backwaters or the sea, providing a serene backdrop.
When is the best time to go to Nīndakara?
The best time to go to Nīndakara is during the dry season, which runs from October to March.

During these months, the weather is pleasantly warm and sunny, with lower humidity, making it ideal for exploring the backwaters and enjoying the coastal attractions. You'll find the conditions superb for houseboat cruises, fishing, and visiting local markets without the heavy rainfall of the monsoon season. This period is particularly good for those seeking a relaxed and comfortable holiday, as the cooler temperatures (compared to summer) make outdoor activities more enjoyable.

The shoulder months of October and March offer a good balance of comfortable weather and fewer crowds compared to the peak tourist season in December and January.
