- The Natural Park Cabo de Gata-Nijar was the first Andalusian protected marine-terrestrial space. Due to the contrasts between the marine environment, the coast and inland, to the many unique species already own houses one of the most arid ecosystems European features, this space was also recognized internationally as a Biosphere Reserve.
