A comfortable and warm holiday home with an air of faded elegance. Well placed for touring D&G and handy for Wigtown Book Festival. Culpee House is well placed for the amenities in this small town but placed in a quiet and relaxing area. The locals were helpful and friendly. The house was well equipped and had good off-road parking and a nice garden. I may be a bit picky but I felt the house could benefit from a deep clean. Over all we really enjoyed our stay and would certainly return. A big thank you to our hosts.
Culpee House is a gem. Spacious, comfortable, clean and well fitted out with everything we needed. Set well away from passing traffic it is quiet and relaxing. The gardens are extensive and should be a delight when everything comes into bloom. Leave the car and take a five minute walk into town where there is a good choice of shops, cafes and restaurants (try the Riverview) plus a Sainsbury and Aldi at the western end. As a base for travelling around the area it is ideal. Would have loved to have booked for longer!"
