The house is in a perfect location to see the majority of sites on the western side of Ireland. It’s quiet, with plenty of privacy, nestled next to a lake filled with wildlife. Will definitely stay at the house again if I come back to visit Ireland.
Gillian’s house was extremely comfortable and spacious, the pictures do not do it justice. We had a wonderful stay. There were lots of interesting places to visit to suit our wide range of ages. The communication with Gillian was very easy, would definitely recommend
We really enjoyed staying at this property. The owner was amazing to work with. The property was in a good location. The house had plenty of room for our family. We would definitely stay again.
The house had everything we could need and more. It was very spacious and had plenty of room for our cousins who live nearby to visit as well. It was a great central point for the west of Ireland to do day trips from as well. Grateful to have stayed here and the host was very quick to respond

The home is great for a large family or small family reunion. The kitchen has everything you need. Located on a quite, country road. The yard is spacious and has nice views of the lake. Great for day trips to many sites and only 15-20 to SNN.
This is a very nice property, and we four octogenarians were very well pleased. Gill is an excellent host and had all the necessary information of how to operate items in the house as well as information of places of interest to visit and eat. The area is delightful and we especially enjoyed the Dromoland Castle. The location makes it very easy to see Ireland.
We were two families, 4 adults and 5 children ages 14-6, traveling together to visit Ireland and to see friends and family living in the Ennis and Limerick area. This was a great location as our base. We were able to enjoy cooking breakfasts each morning then spending days exploring wonderful areas, before returning to relax in the evenings. The house was spacious, comfortable, clean, and worked very well for us. We truly enjoyed our stay.
Loved it. Clean, well appointed house in peaceful location. Owner was more than helpful and very pleasantvand responsive. We will definitely return. Loved it. Many thanks
We stayed as a family with 3 kids for 5 days by gillians house and we had the perfect holidays.
The house was clean, big enough with everything you need , and i mean everything. In the Garage was dart game, fishing rods, grill , wood ,all in all super happy wirh the house and the location.
Our vacation consisted of 2 families, 5 adults and 4 children. The home was very comfortable for all of us. And had all the comforts of home. We loved how central the home was to all the cities we visited, Galway, Cork, Dingle Peninsula, Roscommon, Cliffs of Moher, Doolin and Aillwee Experience! Thank you Gillian and allowing us to stay at your beautiful home!
My wife and I cancelled our hotels and booked this house for 7 days and it was so amazing that we booked and extra day and changed our flights to fly out of Shannon instead of driving back up to Northern Ireland and taking ferry back to Edinburgh. We are coming back to Ireland in 2027 and will definitely try to book this beautiful home again. We took day trips to Dublin etc. Gillian was great.
Cannot say enough about how wonderful our stay was. The house and surroundings are so relaxing and beautiful. There was plenty of room for 9 of us. I loved waking up to the sound of the cows in the pasture behind us and the birds on the lake. Only 15 minutes from the Shannon airport. Just a short drive to Newmarket on Furgus where there were several pubs, places to eat, and a grocery store. You definitely need a car because nothing is really within walking distance. But it was the perfect base for our trips every day. We would absolutely stay here again! Thank you Gillian for everything!!
We were more than pleased with our stay in this lovely, spacious, clean, well equiped and well situated home with beautiful views in the heart of Ireland where there are so many sites to visit.
Our thanks and gratitude go out to Gill, the owner, who made every effort to make our stay comfortable, enjoyable and problem free.
Although we were all adults this property is also very well suited to families with children who will have fun in the large well kept garden.
Thums up and a definate recomendation!
My wife, our daughter, her significant other, and our two grandsons travelled to Ireland for a 5 night stay, followed by 4 days in England. For our time in Ireland, we booked our stay at this property at New ark et on Fergus, as it was centrally located for our day trips to the west and southwest regions of Ireland. The property was close to the Shannon airport, close to pubs, and grocery stores, and reasonably close to access to the motorways. We spent most of our days driving around Ireland, so the home was used primarily for sleeping, and a quick bite to eat in the morning before beginning our day’s adventure, and for our purposes, the property was just right. The property was clean and properly prepared prior to our arrival, the host provided written instructions for getting to the home from the airport, as well as all of the information needed to get into the home, the wifi password, how to operate the television, and so on. Overall, everything worked out just as we had hoped. Just wish we had a few more days to spend in Ireland - it was delightful.
Our party of seven adults 25 -59 and expressed the beauty, cleanliness,
size, & location of this property. Very quiet and peaceful. The view from the patio was perfect with the morning coffee or to watch the swan. Neighborhoods were friendly, Although we did not see a lot of them, The few we did see were very nice. Prepare for very, very narrow roads with fast drivers. If you plan to bring children, they would love this. There’s a Huge yard front and back. It is within close proximity to some really nice/fun attractions. The price was 100% worth it. It was not as pricey as others. We were fortunate that we received very little rain. And the rain that we did get was not during the times we needed it to be sunny so that worked out perfectly. If I was to come back to this part of Ireland, I would 100% stay here again. The host was very nice and accommodating.
area, where Dairy Queen lots to see
