The rooms are cozy and the place was perfect for the family! The views are amazing! We got to watch canadian geese and great blue herons from the living room!
This was the exact experience we were looking for, relaxing. The property listing was very accurate, the host. Ryan was amazing in both communication and support when we had a minor issue. Our pictures look like everyone else’s but they’re unique to us! :) We look forward to returning.
We had a great stay at Ryan’s place. Great location for Mt. Sunapee skiing.Lots of room! Great views. Will plan to be back!On a snowy trip. 4 wheel drive and good tires are highly recommended.
We booked this home to do some skiing at Pat's Peak and Sunappee and it did not disappoint. Dog friendly home with a great picture window overlooking a lake. Got up early to watch the sunrise over the lake. It was fun to watch the ice fishing and the snowmobiling out there as well. Beds were comfortable and the house had everything we needed! Would definitely stay here again!
Our year end winter mini vacation went well. The cozy cottage was perfectly situated in which we started 2025 with a beuatiful view. It sets the tone on wonderful things to come this year.
Our family stayed for a week, great location close to good restaurants. Nice spot to swim for little kids and/or float. I suggest water shoes. I also suggest taking the kayak and canoes out over the islands.
Had a lovely stay at this cottage close to Sunapee.
Plenty of space for myself and kids. Kitchen had all we needed and we stayed warm and dry after skiing and during a rainy day.
Beautiful sunrise over the lake.
Would love to visit in the summer!
This house is on a beautiful lake. It is so peaceful and calming. Our dog, Roxy, had her first swim here! We had a great time kayaking and fishing. Caught some very large bass. The lake is so clear. The sunrises and sunsets were amazing! This has been our favorite VRBO stay yet!
Small lake very quiet. The sunrise is a spectacular the stars in the evening or even better. The fishing was great large mouth bass, pickerel and yellow perch. A canoe and kayaks made things fun. Great house well equipped
We decided to come back to Lake Todd after many years away. We fully enjoyed Ryan’s cabin as the view is spectacular. The photos are representative of the place. Ryan was always responsive for any questions I had before we arrived. Canoeing, kayaking, fishing and swimming reign supreme. The surrounding towns are quiet but a few good eateries can be found. Hiking is close by. A very relaxing time was had by all.
Our family had a wonderful stay on Todd Lake. The lake was warm and fairly shallow, which was perfect for our 6 year old. There were kayaks and a canoe. We had our own boats, but the small kayaks were good to tug along our son too explore the blueberry-covered islands.
Location was good to visit Sunapee and Wadleigh State Parks. We visited a science museum in Vermont on a rainy day, which was better than expected.
Only issue was the smoke detector in the kitchen. It went off nearly every time we cooked, including once when we were only cooking toast.
Wonderful, rustic lakefront property as listed. Not luxurious but cozy and properly cleaned. Host Ryan was very friendly and offered early check in. Beautifully situated on the lake and 10 minute drive from Mt Sunapee. Unfortunately the heating was broken throughout the duration of our stay. The house got very cold into the 50’s. Only a 25 reimbursement was offered, which I felt was too little. This needs to be addressed before the next guest arrives and the next person should confirm with the host that the heating works.
This cottage was exactly what my family and I wanted. On the older side and dated, however the rustic interior was the perfect atmosphere for a ski trip. It was directly on the lake. In the morning we were pleasantly surprised to wake up to see people out ice fishing on the frozen lake in their portable fish huts. At night we witnessed coyotes nearby out on the lake. It was absolutely amazing. Stunning views of the mountain. Ryan our host was wonderful. He responded to us right away with any questions we had. Couldn’t ask for a better host. Extremely professional and friendly!!! Thank you Ryan for a memorable experience. We’re hoping to return in August, so we can enjoy the cottage and lake in the summer. If not then definitely again next January!!! Can’t wait to stay here again!!! Yippee!!!
Overall it was a great stay, clean and ready for us we just needed to clean the grill and run a load of laundry left in washer and dryer but other than that place was spic and span and had all the things we needed except a lobster pot and and crackers but we made do with a mallet and the two small pots.
The cottage is peaceful and quiet and what a view. The kayaks and lake are definitely worth diving into, and be sure to go check out the lil islands and do some fishing, all good!
Lots of room to spread out inside and out, we had lots of rain our week so didn’t get on the lake but twice but it was still worth it with the rain because of view of the lake from the big picture widow in the LR, so instead we played Monopoly and Uno and enjoyed catching up on some Netflix.
Ryan the owner was very responsive and quick to answer our questions and took care of an issue witt the fridge with a rebate since he couldn’t get the fridge repaired while we were there. Aside from the fridge being noisy and not being cold enough everything else was perfect and we would love to spend more time at this little cottage on Lake Todd in the future!
This is a nice little place right on the water. The house itself is dated, but the amenities and furniture are not worn and are comfortable. I dinged one star for cleanliness only because there were cobwebs in many corners and the hot water had a bit of an odor, kind of like a mild campground smell. Otherwise, the place contained a nice array of games and toddler toys, as well as infant/toddler books so my kids were well entertained. I was delightfully surprised to find a range of lifejackets for use with the canoe/kayaks and we were able to take our young children out on the lake, which was a highlight of the trip! It was easy to find the place, plenty of parking space, and the host was very communicative. Plenty of towels, blankets, sheets and a crib available. Short drive to a few restaurants, Mt. Sunapee and towns for activities. Warner had a nice Fall Festival we attended, as well as a fun telephone museum that our kids (and I!) loved. We didn't get a chance to use the firepit but I would stay here again and it would be lovely to sit by the fire and look out on the water.
We stayed at this vacation home in Newbury after Christmas and had a perfect getaway! The owner is very responsive and always ready to help us with anything! The neighborhood itself was quiet and charming, offering the ideal retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life. It felt like a true escape—calm, tranquil, and surrounded by nature. Whether it was enjoying the crisp winter air or simply taking in the view from the warmth of the home, every moment felt like a chance to unwind. The lake house was impeccably clean and well-maintained, making it feel like a home away from home. It was fully equipped with all the necessities, and we truly didn’t miss a thing during our stay. From the fully equipped kitchen to the cozy living spaces, everything was thoughtfully provided. It was clear that the owners took great pride in ensuring that guests had everything they needed. Our cat also loved the house, enjoying the cozy spaces and peaceful surroundings. Whether lounging by the windows or exploring the house, our furry friend felt right at home. Overall, it was a wonderful and relaxing retreat where both we and our cat could unwind and enjoy the tranquility of nature and I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking peace, natural beauty, and a chance to recharge. Would definitely love to come back!!
Great property, just as advertised. Everything you could need is provided and it is a really nice area. Sitting by the fire was great. Paddling out to the islands was a great deal of fun for the kids. We suggest investing in water shoes as the only caveat, the water area was rocky and a bit of muck as you got out past the dock. Overall great experience with a cordial and easy to contact host.
This was a very cute little cabin on the water. We really enjoyed the ability to kayak or canoe and spent both nights around the campfire roasting hot dogs and marshmallows. Although we came I. The spring and the water was still a bit cold we all want to come back for a weekend in the summer to really enjoy the lake :)
