A cityscape with prominent skyscrapers, including the Chrysler Building and the Empire State Building.
A large indoor public space with high ceilings, large windows, and a central clock.
A tall building with a distinctive arched top and a large circular window.
A city skyline with the Chrysler Building and MetLife building.
A city skyline with modern skyscrapers, including a prominent glass building and a tall black building.

Among all the dazzling architecture of Midtown East, Grand Central Terminal remains the most beloved, and the most iconic.

The skyline of Midtown East is dominated by some of America’s favourite skyscrapers – the Chrysler Building, Seagram’s, Graybar – but Grand Central is undoubtedly the jewel in this area’s crown. Its lovely beaux arts stylings are the source of endless photo ops. There are big-name stores over on Fifth Avenue, and fashionable boutiques on Madison, while the United Nations headquarters are down by the river, but to see the true “old” New York, you’d best meet at Grand Central.
