Bustling and brightly coloured, NYC’s maze-like Chinatown is everything you expect it to be. Dim sum and noodle restaurants are everywhere and you can shop like mad for cheap jewellery, clothing and trinkets. Grab a bubble tea and watch old men play mahjong in the park while strains of traditional music drift by. Beautiful temples house Buddha statues and a museum shows the area’s origins.
