Holiday Haus Zwei

This nearly 100 year old craftsman-style home sits on Broadway Street in the center of town, just a block from a bustling downtown which includes, restaurants, boutiques, coffee, ice cream, cocktail bars, parks and so much more.

Recently voted Best Place in Minnesota to Live and a Top 10 MN vacation destination, New Ulm is a quaint, charming yet vibrant gem in south central Minnesota. Home of the 2nd oldest family owned and operated brewery in the United States, Schell's. Its packed calendar of festivals make it a year-round destination.

2,800 square feet, you will love the charm of this old home including the beautiful hardwood floors, french doors and high ceilings. You will also enjoy the great outdoor space in the back yard made for entertaining or simply relaxing after a long day. The property has two off-street parking spots; a garage stall as well as a carport adjacent to the garage stall.

We are life-long residents, (or Bewohners if you sprechen sie Deutsch) of New Ulm and are close by to answer any question you may have quickly via phone, text, email or VRBO messenger.

New Ulm is well known for its Bavarian roots and it pervades almost everything. From day one, the city was designed as a free-thinking utopia filled with parks every few blocks.

New Ulm is famous for its German festivals such as Bavarian Blast (formally Heritagefest) in July, BockFest in March at the mansion grounds of August Schell of Schell's beer fame, and of course, TWO full weekends of Oktoberfest (Oktober) activities. New Ulm is the host of many baseball, hockey and basketball tournaments.

Our home is just a few blocks blocks from beautiful German Park with its fountain, gardens and brand new amphitheater. It is less than a block from historic Turner Hall Turnverein Club complete with bar and restaurant (Rathskeller).

Our home is located almost smack in the middle of town making walking downtown a breeze. There you can find everything from live music to German restaurants (Kaiserhoff), or our Glockenspiel, one of the few free-standing carillon clock towers in the world! You are also just a few blocks from Johnson Park if you want to take in a baseball or football game.

Perfect place to stay for large family

We were in town for graduation and this house fit all of our needs. Beds were very comfortable. The weather was beautiful and we were able to enjoy the patio area. Definitely would stay again!

Great Stay!

This home has a great location for people wanting to be in walking distance to downtown New Ulm. Great restaurants, bars, etc. The beds were very comfortable and we had everything we needed in the kitchen to make all our meals. We had a group of 8 and there was room for more. Host was also very responsive and easy to work with.We’ll be staying again!

Awesome family vacation home

The property is well maintained & appointed. Gorgeous woodwork & outdoor relaxing space.Kitchen was a surprise for an older home.It turned out to be perfect for our large extended family - especially conveniently located for us!.The 2nd floor laundry complete with iron which came in handy for touching up our graduate's gown, was a life saver! Plenty of towels & linens Dan & Char are great hosts!

Great location

Close to all the places. The house was just as described and well stocked. The main floor bedroom and toilet were perfect for my elderly mother. The younger one enjoyed the parks and swimming pond. The older ones enjoyed Schells and the historic sites. Would stay here again.

Best Location and Lovely Home

Wonderful large home to stay with a big group of people. We stayed for Bockfest and had the best weekend! The house was clean and in walking distance to the town center. The host shared helpful information beforehand on transportation from the house to Shells brewery. The hosts were kind, accommodating, and very easy to communicate with. We would love to stay here again!

Birthday Club Blast

My friends and I enjoy have a Birthday Club in which we get together to celebrate each others’ special day and our recent stay at the Holiday Haus Zwei was an ideal getaway location for us. Char was very easy to communicate with and the home suited our needs perfectly! The beds were super comfy and the home was warm and inviting. We would highly recommend it!
