Old SMALL beds in both bathrooms, the third bedroom is illegal in MN, futon is not a bed. Do Nohere
Do Not stay here. All beds are full size, just bigger than twin.one bedroom in the basement is illegal in MN - No immediate egress. 8 adults Cannot fit. Old Place - the doors don't work - including the FRONT!!

Bedroom 1 and bedroom 2 ARE queen beds! Bedroom 3 is 1 double and 1 twin, EXACTLY how they are described on our page. Plus, photos of every single bedroom are on our page. The downstairs sleeping area is clearly described as an additional sleeping space and says 1 futon. All of this is CLEARLY explained on our page. The entire house has been successfully inspected by the state of Minnesota and our local fire department. While we are sorry the house was not a fit for your group, please read the property description before booking because all of the bedrooms, bed sizes and sleeping areas are photographed and clearly described therein.

Great Place in the Heart of New Ulm
We really enjoyed our short stay. The house was well-appointed, with plenty of space. We didn't cook, but the kitchen appeared stocked. We loved walking the few short blocks to the main street.

Great Gals Get away stay
Our bookclub gals all over 60, had a very enjoyable stay at this beautiful home. Very comfortable, well equipped with everything we needed, very clean and nicely located to enjoy shopping, quilt shops, Schell's brewery, parks and many dining options. Beautifully decorated home. Great House, Location, Amenities, Price, and Owners!
This house is beautiful with lots of room for your families and friends to spread out if they want to but also open for all to gather together. Features in this home really made a work trip feel like a vacation, including the generosity of the owners. Thank you Char and Dan! We can't wait to come back again!

Family Getaway Close to Mankato
This charming historic home was perfect for our family! There was plenty of room for all six of us and the house was supplied with everything that we needed and more. The kids enjoyed the games and movies and we all enjoyed the outdoor spaces. We spent evenings walking and exploring the town and enjoyed the comfort of the home!

Well kept home with everything you need for a wonderful getaway! The sauna and jetted tub were amazing. There were many places to gather and have fun! There was a fireplace, a fire pit, and two very nice outside gathering places.

Comfortable stay in historic home
This is a wonderful home for a visit to New Ulm. It is attractive and yet comfortable. You will feel right at home and have everything you need. The location is quiet but close to the everything you’ll want to do. There are a number of outdoor areas to enjoy. The owners are helpful and have provided so many extras.

Welcome retreat on a cold Spring night.
We rented on a dark, damp and dreary night and were pleased to have a warm, cozy and cheerful place waiting for us! All the rooms were very inviting and the kitchen well-stocked. We did not have time to take advantage of all amenities, but the patio looked amazing and the collection of movies and games would have been used if staying longer. I didn’t think dogs were allowed but I had an allergic reaction when sitting on an upholstered chair, which was unfortunate. We were also a bit surprised by the checkout procedure to sweep/vacuum all rooms, wash and put away all dishes (no time to use dishwasher), and take out the trash as that seemed more than the usual ask at a VRBO. Happy to comply but be sure you allow time for chores on check out day. Overall, this is as a lovely place to stay!

Thank you so much for choosing Holiday Haus! Some of the original cleaning requirements are from previous Covid rules. There is a revision in the book that states I only request that laundry gets down the laundry shoot and trash taken outside and dishwasher started. Please consider us for future visits to New Ulm. Im sorry to hear about your allergic reaction, as far as pets go, I do not allow them however by rules I have to allow therapy animals.

Fabulous Family Getaway
We loved everything about Holiday Haus! The furnishings are absolutely beautiful and there are coordinating accessories to delight the eye everywhere you turn. The beds were all comfortable (I slept better then usual for a night away from home) and we enjoyed the well-appointed kitchen, movie selection, games, and proximity to the shops by the riverbank. I was especially happy to take advantage of the jetted bathtub and sauna. Would love to come back. Thank you for a great stay!

Cozy and Comfortable
We stayed here when we got stuck in town due to a blizzard. The house was nice and roomy with plenty of games and books to keep the kids entertained. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the little things you forget to bring, which made it super easy to make our own meals. We really enjoyed the fireplace, jetted tub, and sauna! It was way better than staying in a hotel!

This is my childhood home, so I must admit, I am biased! But even setting aside the fact that this home holds some wonderful memories for me, it is an outstanding place to stay in New Ulm. Walking distance to the heart of downtown and just so conveniently located to everything. Such a comfortable home, and well suited for family.

Friends Getaway to Oktoberfest
This was an awesome place to stay during New Ulm's Oktoberfest. It was close to the downtown events allowing us to walk to the festivities, dinner, shopping, etc. The people we met throughout our stay in New Ulm were so friendly. Although we experienced internet problems, Char was very responsive and had service people fix the problem quickly. The house was equipped with everything we needed and was great for five ladies to eat, drink and be merry for days!

Perfection in New Ulm
The property was immaculate and very comfortable. Char & Dan are excellent hosts and very knowledgeable about New Ulm. Char had great referrals for things to see and do her knowledge of the area was excellent. Each bedroom had a TV the kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with everything needed to be comfortable. The backyard fire pit was a great space to spend the evening. Highly recommend this home with lots of space and great baths and kitchen.

This is an amazong property. Centrally located to the downtown area, great place to walk and run in the area. It was a block from Turner Halle - a wedding venue. The owners were responsive, attentive and the house has everything you need for a great stay. We will stay here again when visiting New Ulm!

Ideal location
Location is ideal, nice neighborhood and walking distance to downtown. House has unique features, we appreciated the historical touches and absolutely loved sitting on the front porch with coffee in the morning and a cocktail in the evening visiting with family. Host was friendly and accommodating. Only complaint, house could have been cleaner.

What a beautiful home. It is unlikely that anyone else will have the same experience I did because this was my childhood home! But what was so amazing is that every detail was absolutely perfect. Nurse's vacation
I don't even know where to start... The property is just as stunning and warm as the pictures reflect. That is nothing compared to the warmth of the hosts, Dan and Char! Covid has been hard on me and my fellow nurses. We decided to have a few nights "away" at Holiday Haus. See, we are from New Ulm. Most of us who stayed are from New Ulm or nearby. It was the best vacation I have had in a long time. We bonded, we enjoyed beverages, we ate until we were stuffed, we played games, we enjoyed signiture drinks and appetizers brought by our hosts to thank us for doing our job. We love this town. We love our community. Thank you Char and Dan for the wonderful little get away right in our yard! It was so much more fun than a hotel. We plan on doing this again soon!

Charming home; Great location
Char and Dan were wonderful to work with throughout the booking process and communication leading up to and during our stay. We were in town for a hockey tournament and the location to the arena, local restaurants, coffee shops and boutiques was great! Fantastic Home
We stayed here, because my mom's is a bit too small for 6, and it was wonderful!! Everything about Holiday Haus exceeded our hopes and expectations! Char had even decorated for Chrimastmas for us!! The home was cozy and comfy and we even brought all the gifts over from mom's to open in the nice big family room with the fireplace crackling merrily! What a wonderful day and stay we had!

Perfect Girls Weekend
