Steps to Endymion and Zulu Parades during Mardi Gras!

North of the noise and saturated color of the Quarter is a New Orleans neighborhood that’s perfected the art of living. “Welcome to Mid-City,” read the signs on the neutral ground. And that’s truth in advertising. It’s the kind of place where your auto mechanic invites you to a crawfish boil and a total stranger may buy you a drink at an Irish pub or a cannoli at an Italian bakery. Take the red streetcar line up Canal to the Cemeteries (Mid-City’s dead neighbors are as interesting as the live ones) or bike the new 2.6-mile-long Lafitte Greenway that stretches from Basin Street to Carrollton Avenue and, conveniently, past a po’ boy shop or two – or 17 – with a sno-ball shop and a micro-brewery thrown in for good measure. Buttermilk biscuits. Live music. A bowl of Vietnamese pho. Who wouldn’t want to visit? Eat. Drink. Get up here.
If you have any questions about the neighborhood, please send us a message!

★ Check-in was simple, everything worked perfectly, and the home was even better than expected!

Mid-City finds its groove as the seasons shift - the festival rush fades, the air turns comfortable, and the neighborhood settles into the easy rhythms that make New Orleans worth visiting any time of year. This five-bedroom, single-level home puts your group right in the middle of it: warm interiors sized for ten guests, a fully fenced backyard built for late-evening gatherings, and a city skyline view that frames the whole picture. Whatever brings your group here, the space is built to hold it.

    Living space
Natural light moves through the main areas during the day, and the home eases into something warmer by evening. Central air conditioning, central heating, and ceiling fans keep every room at the right temperature year-round. Room-darkening shades, clothing storage, an iron, and hangers are provided throughout. The no-stairs, single-level layout keeps the whole home easy to move through - practical for families, older guests, and anyone arriving with a lot of luggage.

    Sleeping arrangements
Five bedrooms sleep up to ten guests, each fitted with beds and room-darkening shades for uninterrupted rest. Three full bathrooms - including one with a bathtub - serve the group, each stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body soap, shower gel, and a hair dryer. Towels, bed linens, and all the essentials are provided.

    Kitchen & dining
The chef’s kitchen is equipped for real home cooking. A Frigidaire stainless steel electric stove, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, microwave, toaster, and baking sheet handle the full range. Cooking basics - pots, pans, oil, salt, and pepper - are stocked alongside plates, bowls, cups, cutlery, and silverware for the whole group. Coffee and a drip coffee maker are provided to start the morning; the dining table brings everyone together for shared meals before heading out.

    Entertainment & workspace
A 32-inch HDTV comes loaded with Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, HBO Max, Hulu, Netflix, and Roku. Fast Wi-Fi and an Ethernet connection run throughout the home, with a dedicated workspace in a common area for anyone working remotely. Families can request a pack ‘n play/travel crib (sheets included) or a standalone high chair (food tray provided), and babysitter recommendations are available. An in-unit washer and dryer take care of laundry without leaving the house.

    Outdoor living
Step out to the private, fully fenced backyard - the home’s social hub after dark. Gather around the fire pit as the evening cools, get things going on the gas BBQ grill, and settle in at the outdoor dining area surrounded by outdoor furniture. A private patio or balcony extends the space further. There’s room for cornhole if that’s on the agenda. Free driveway parking for three cars is available on the premises, with additional free street parking nearby.

    Location
A private entrance makes the home feel properly your own. The Superdome is 0.7 miles away; the French Quarter and Bourbon Street are minutes from the door. The Canal Street streetcar runs steps from the home, putting the city’s top attractions within easy reach without a car. Trader Joe’s and the Lafitte Greenway are close by for everyday convenience. Self check-in via smart lock makes arrival easy, and cleaning during your stay is available on request.

Our family enjoyed our stay in the authentic “New Orleans” style house and neighborhood. Should we have the opportunity to visit New Orleans again, we wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again. A deciding factor for us in choosing this house was that it has an enclosed backyard and two parking spaces in the front of the house. We were most surprised by the citrus tree growing in the backyard.

Great house, not so great location.

Home was Beaty inside and out, had all the necessities we needed! Stocked with towels , toilet paper , kitchen essentials and beds were extremely comfortable! Neighborhood is definitely not where I would have hoped it would be. Night time seemed a little more on edge there but it quiet for the most party. We enjoyed the stay, would have preferred a better neighborhood.
