Great Host, Good Location
We enjoyed our stay in this unit. It is on a quiet street, really close to a park and the walk to the streetcar is super quick and easy. Lori responded quickly to the only issue we had, which was remote batteries. This was the best appointed VRBO we have stayed in.. plenty of towels, nice sheets, comfortable beds... just zero complaints. Definitely recommend!

Fantastic!
Loved our stay in New Orleans! This property was clean and comfortable with plenty of room and nice amenities. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds were comfortable, and the private backyard was a nice place to relax after a day of sightseeing. The host was quick to respond to all questions. The location was great-a couple blocks to the trolley stop, some fun restaurants within walking distance and we felt very safe in this neighborhood. I would definitely recommend and would not hesitate to stay at this property again!

Historic and close to the action
It was a little challenging getting to the home with the construction, narrow and beaten roads and cars parked in the street but it’s what you should expect from a historic district. The house was very clean and definitely felt like you were in New Orleans. The beds were comfortable but not many of the plugs worked so my wife and I had to share a plug to charge our devices in the bedroom. This house has 2 restrooms and so we planned to use a restroom for each couple, however the restroom upstairs only had a bath tub and the shower option did not work so we all ended up having to share the newly remodeled shower downstairs. The stairs were a little steep, but we didn’t have any issues. With that said, this house would not be good for folks with physical impairments. All in all the house served its purpose and it was close to the Streetcar to take us to all the action. Thank you Lori for sharing your home.

Clean comfortable house close to streetcar
House was very clean and comfortable. Streetcar stop was just a few blocks away and allowed us to explore the city easily. Bedroom access does require fairly steep stairs.

We really enjoyed the property. It was a quiet and relaxing neighborhood.The property was clean and very inviting. The decor was definitely New Orleans style. You can tell it was a older home that was well updated from the character in the fireplace floors and windows. This property was about 15-20 to the French Quarter, but there was also a Street Car if you wanted to see the scenery, I would suggest maybe renting a vehicle I believe it would’ve been more economical.! The stairs were not for the faint. If you have children, you may want to consider this because they were very steep and both bed rooms were upstairs. The main bedroom is very nice. The bed was comfortable but need a firm mattress, we kept feeling like we were rolling to the middle. My only suggestions would be a little bit more silverware, napkins, and shades in the dinning area for privacy.

Great location; beautiful property!
We were in town for Jazz fest and this property did not disappoint! We enjoyed sitting on the back patio in the mornings and evenings. Very quiet and peaceful! The house was clean and well equipped! We were happy to be close to the trolley and take in the beautiful sites and homes in the area! We would love to return to the home and New Orleans!

A very delightful NOLA vacation stay
For my wife and our friends, this was a delightful NOLA home, a nice cozy space with local character and perfect atttributes. We wanted a dedicated parking space, two baths, washer/dryer and room to spread out. We got that, plus a short walk to the St. Charles streetcar near its terminus at Carrollton and Claiborne. The parking space and streetcar provided us with a better experience from our previous trip, and we had fun sitting in a comfy dining room that served as our battle-planning area each day. The stairs to the second floor are a bit tricky, but that's to be expected in an older NOLA home. Overall, we think this house is a keeper!

Ideally Situated in a Lovely Location
Full of captivating art, this split two-story home is located within easy walking distance of plenty to do and see: an independent book store, a brewery, two coffee shops, myriad restaurants, the St. Charles trolly line, and two city managed cemeteries, among other places. Our party also enjoyed the time spent inside watching movies on a couple occasions. We had a very good time.

My husband and I stayed for one week with our dog. The property was exactly what we were looking for: Clean, convenient for visiting our son, safe neighborhood, plenty of linens and an all around positive experience. I am certain to book here again when in New Orleans.

Historic home
The 2 story townhome is very pretty and decorated nicely. If you are looking to throw a dinner party, the dining room is fabulous! Our only negative was that the beds were quite soft and sag somewhat in the middle. Also be aware that the two bedrooms are upstairs with one of the bathrooms. The other bathroom is downstairs at the back of the house next to the kitchen. That bathroom is fully remodeled with a really lovely shower. The water pressure was really nice!

Great quiet location
Nice quiet neighborhood - walking distance to trolley into town as well as walking distance to grocery store, drug store, and a few restaurants. Only issue was stairs to 2nd floor were a bit steep - only a problem for me as I have a bad knee. But also adds to the charm of the house. Didn't bother anyone else. Lori was an excellent host.

New Orleans Final Four Holiday
Perfect place for us to recharge at the end of the day (away from the crowds) during our Final Four trip to New Orleans. Vintage, charming, well-equipped and very comfortable. Loved the "feel" of the house, the exposed brick, the dining room, the private back patio for our morning coffee, and the "been there a long-time" feel of the neighborhood. The place is very conveniently located on the St. Charles RTA trolley line. We took the trolley in to New Orleans every day, passing through the Garden District, by Audubon Park, Toulane and a drop off right by Bourbon Street. We bought the 24 hour senior pass for $.80 and easily got to shopping, dining, golf and into the heart of New Orleans. The owner was very helpful and quickly took care of a couple of requests that we made. Would definitely stay here again.

Great NOLA Spot
This place was perfect for our family of 5. Great location as we were able to use public transportation to get everywhere we wanted to from it. And it was an easy drive to City Park and the Zoo when we didn’t want to use public transportation. The owner was very helpful in directing where to go and not to go as well. Loved this place and we will definitely be returning!

We enjoyed our stay. Great location for getting to the many parades we saw during Mardi Gras, but also easy access to mid-city and lake view. Lori was a great host, she even left us a special treat on arrival!

Great House in Quiet Neighborhood
We really enjoyed our stay at Lori’s house. The property was quiet and clean in a very safe neighborhood. The check in/out process was very easy. This house was very big compared to other houses we have stayed in New Orleans. There is plenty of room to stretch out and have some privacy. The kitchen has everything you would need to cook. We did not do any cooking given all the great restaurants New Orleans has to offer, but the kitchen was fully stocked. There was also a keurig coffee maker and coffe pods, as well as tea and condiment packets. In the bathrooms, there were plenty of thick fluffy towels. Lori even provided full size shampoo, conditioner and body wash for anyone who might have forgotten those. Having our own parking space was a huge bonus. The house is close to everything New Orleans. We never drove more than 15 minutes to get anywhere. I did check the price of an Uber to the convention center on Saturday morning, and it was only $8. We decided to drive since it was such an easy drive, but Uber is cheap and fast if you prefer. Lori’s place is a perfect place to stay whether you have a car or not: I would defiantly stay at Lori’s house again. She went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Thank you, Lori!

True New Orleans Neighborhood Experience
When you first arrive you may feel a little out of sorts but with each minute that passes you assimilate into the New Orleans experience and culture. This is not your 5 star hotel experience but better. We enjoyed getting to emerge ourselves into what New Orleans neighborhood living is. The neighborhood is quiet yet bustling with everyday life activities. We were able to get to everywhere we needed either by our own transportation or Uber. The owner Lori lives next door and provided a welcoming hello. The home is quant and quite historical of New Orleans history. The only surprises were the very limited parking and narrow streets; however, this is the norm for New Orleans neighborhoods. We felt safe and thoroughly enjoyed our TRUE New Orleans. Experience!!

My two week trip to New Orleans was made perfect by choosing this home stay. This was a business trip and all hotels were sold out due to Hurricane Ida which turned out to be a blessing for me! The location is convenient to travel in any direction, if you need or desire to go to the French Quarter it is a short drive, local eateries and grocery are close and very good. I am a single woman traveler, and safety is always a primary concern - I felt very safe and slept like a baby each night. Every accomodation for my comfort was made not only by the owner, but the neighbors were helpful and friendly as well. The home is beautifully decorated comfortable/casual/chic/ with an artsy flair. I especially enjoyed the ample off street parking in front and the lovely garden patio in the rear. This will be my go-to for any future trips to NOLA!

This was me and my wife's first time visiting New Orleans and I was very hesitant when we first arrived bc the streets are so narrow and very, very bumpy (we now know it's like that all over New Orleans). But when we pulled up, we were happy to have our own private driveway right in front of the door. Neighbors all around were very quiet, and not nosey at all. Now when we walked inside, the pictures posted were exactly how it looked.....Very, very nice, cozy! Everything was very clean and we both were impressed by how updated everything was and the character of the house. It had every single accommodation you can think of and then some for our family of 4: TVs, with satellite cable in both rooms and living room, WIFI worked perfectly, the A/C was perfect, plenty of dishes in the huge kitchen, plenty of towels and even toiletries in the bathrooms. It was perfect for us! Our host, Lori was very nice and helpful. She left notes for us to navigate around the house and in the city of New Orleans. I would highly, recommend this house and host again. Thank you very much.

6 day stay in New Orleans
My daughter who goes to LSU knows New Orleans, she guided us to this property in a good area, and near the end of a streetcar route. It was perfect. We got a 3-day pass at Walgreens also within walking distance. We rode the streetcar over an hour past countless beautiful old homes to the French Quarter and evening ghost tour, we also walked to the Oak Street area for food. We walked to the grocery for breakfast most days. We drove to see a local band, Flow Tribe. Full disclosure we kinda know the guitar player, but they were a big highlight. Also, we did a swamp tour, went to the garden district to shop magazine street, and see the witch house from American Horror Story, and went to City Park. I only wish we could have seen one of the beautiful above ground cemeteries. Access to get into the property, as well as Netflix, Prime was easy. Some roads are small (please note if you drive a large vehicle) and rough. There are steps at this property, if you have knee issues. Not a problem for us, I loved the wood stairs. The history and culture of New Orleans was amazing. Almost everyone we met was from New Orleans and was eager to share food options.

My husband, adult daughter, younger daughter, and pup had a lovely week long stay in this house. The neighborhood is convenient and the property is comfortable, if not fancy. Perfect for a family. Please note there are two full bathrooms, but one is on the main floor not on the second floor with the bedrooms. This means you will either need to share the main bathroom or make a trek downstairs.. Not a big deal, but something to be aware of.

Girls Trip
Lori is a gracious hostess with a beautiful home. It's in a quiet safe neighborhood and was perfect for our outing. Went to NOLA for a girl's trip. So glad my dog got to come along, she loved it too! Convenient location close to restraunts. The streetcar is a short walk away, and the ride to the quarter goes past beautiful homes in the historical district. When I return to New Orleans this is the only place I would want to stay.
