We really enjoyed our stay at 1216 Treme! The owners/managers of the property are very responsive and I really appreciate them taking the time to answer questions about the property so we knew what we were getting prior to getting there. A special thanks to LaShanda for her hospitality and for making sure we had everything needed.
This house is a great property for a larger group that knows each other reasonably well, or, for a smaller group of 3-4 couples. The downstairs layout is sort of a "shot-gun" style, so the first floor bedrooms and sunroom with day-bed are close together, and, you do have to walk through them to get to the rest of the house, but, they are spacious and very nicely decorated, so as long as you go in knowing to expect that you will not be disappointed. The other two bedrooms are upstairs and offer a little more privacy. There is a full bath upstairs, and, a full and 1/2 bath downstairs, so the bathroom space wasn't an issue for our group of 8.
The house was clean and comfortable. We also really enjoyed the location - easily walk-able to everything you might want to do...but just far enough away from the craziness and noise to feel like a "retreat" when it was time to rest. We felt comfortable walking in the daytime and at night, and went everywhere from the Frenchman Street to the French Quarter to the downtown area. If you aren't into walking, Uber/Lyft are everywhere, and, Street cars are easily accessible if you want to go that route, and, at only $1.25 - a pretty cool option for getting around.
We had a great trip, and would definitely return to Treme Dazzling during our next trip to New Orleans!
