About this property
Classic New Orleans Victorian Charmer
Take an authentic step back in time and spend a few nights in our classic 1870s New Orleans Victorian-era home featuring 12-foot ceilings, hardwood floors, and original cypress fireplace mantels. Lovingly updated with the latest modern amenities, the home has central air and heat, a full kitchen with stainless appliances, a custom bathroom with a walk-in rainfall shower, and a laundry room. We think it’s the perfect balance of historic charm and modern comfort.
Our Victorian-era “shotgun-style” double allows you all the privacy of your own place because the home is split down the middle with you on one side and us living on the other. The front two rooms are bathed in natural light from the large windows, where the ceilings are adorned with giant decorative medallions, and relax with our 56-inch TV or surf the internet with our high-speed Wi-Fi. Past the dining room, where a signed print by renowned Louisiana artist George Rodrigue hangs, is a full kitchen where you can enjoy a cup of rich New Orleans coffee in the warmth of the morning sunshine beaming through the large window that overlooks the seating area. The kitchen has basic cookware, plates, silverware, cooking utensils, cups, bowls, a toaster, and a coffee maker. Coffee, tea, creamer, and sweeteners are provided. This house has a a "shotgun-style" layout. The first bedroom past the kitchen has a brand-new queen bed, ceiling fan, closet, dresser, and full-length mirror. The bathroom in the hallway connects the bedrooms and boasts a custom tile shower with a rainfall shower, handheld shower spray, and a marble bench seat. We supply fluffy towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and a hair dryer. The second bedroom has a brand-new queen bed, ceiling fan, clothes rack, and a lovely view of the neighboring garden. The back door leads to the small brick patio. A fully stocked laundry room with a washer and dryer is available in the back of the home. We want you to relax and enjoy your stay, so we do all the cleaning so no chores are required of our guests upon checkout. Parking is on the street and is often plentiful. It is free.

This was by far one of my favorite VRBO stays. The house was gorgeous—even better looking than the pictures—and the location was perfect for easily getting around New Orleans. The beds were super comfortable, the kitchen was gourmet and had every pot, pan and spice we needed, and the porch kitty was a special bonus. Thank you for letting us share your family’s historic home!
We loved the location as it was just far enough away from all the busyness but close enough to walk to whatever we wanted. Thank you for a great place to stay.
The hosts were absolutely amazing! The property is in the Lower Garden district, a 10 minute Uber ride to the heart of the French Quarter. Furniture and bedding were very comfortable, kitchen was well stocked! And a morning treat, a French Truck Coffee store was a half a block away. We didn’t get to do everything we wanted during this visit. We’re definitely staying here when we come back. Can’t say enough good things about this house!!!
We had a wonderful time, the house was beautiful & the host was responsive and kind. Great neighborhood & the location can’t be beat!! Looking forward to returning someday.
This rental was amazing for my daughter and I's stay in New Orleans! We were close to lots great restaurants and public transportation. The space was cozy and perfect for resting and relaxing in.
Robert is an excellent host …beautiful home with everything you need for your stay…new beds are very comfy …the house has got so much character and is how it is described on Vrbo site..I would definitely recommend
We loved our stay during Mardi Grau! The location is awesome with being able to walk so many places. The property is exquisite, and the owners were perfect in their communication! I’ve bookmarked this place for another stay in the future!
This property was absolutely spotless and in a great location in a quiet neighborhood. It had up-to-date furnishings and appliances, complimentary coffee, creamer, and tea, comfortable beds, and a great host who was quick to respond, accommodating, and very helpful. I highly recommend staying here and will be re-renting when I return to New Orleans.
Overall experience was exceptional. House was clean, and had everything to make you feel comfortable and right at home. Excellent location to explore the city.
Our family was in town for our daughters' volleyball tournament at the convention center. This was a great location for walking to and from the tournaments, as well as for popular sites around NOLA! The owners were very helpful with advice, answering questions, and accommodating our need to store luggage prior to arrival time and after departure time to better fit our flight schedule. We would definitely stay here again!
Loved this house! The price, amenities and location of the property were why we booked it, but the authenticity, comforts, whimsical touches why we would return.
take us baxk.
The house was perfect and very clean. You have everything you need there and it was very spacious. The location was super convenient and close to a lot of attractions. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend you book.
