Great place, great location
Perfect location, perfect property. Good communication with the host and catered to our arrival schedule. Thank you! ~~ The house was placed with the Bayou in the backyard and the downtown area right outside the front door. It had perfect access to all the downtown shops and dining spots. I absolutely loved the chateau and the city! The house was well accommodating with many different items in case you forgot to pack some. We want to come back again one day for a longer stay.!

Fantastic Spot
This place could not be more charming! The space was perfect for my husband and me, and all of the whimsical touches were delightful. The proximity to downtown New Iberia does not get any better, and the deck was a great place to relax. The host was welcoming, friendly, and informative. Overall, we enjoyed our stay tremendously!

6 year anniversary get away
Wonderful place! This place had all the added touches. They thought of everything. Very relaxing to sit out on the deck and enjoy wine/charcuterie. Great coffee also enjoyed at sunrise. Highly recommended!

Fabulous, Unique, Relaxing stay on the Bayou
Loved everything about this stay. Such a beautiful place with special touches everywhere. All the amenities you need plus walkable to restaurants, bars, and local attractions. We had such a great time fishing right out back (thanks for the pole loan). Excellent communication and friendliness from the owners. I would love to come back here in the future.

Absolutely adorable!
It is perfect place to stay in south LA. Right on the Bayou and walking distance to local restaurants with fabulous food. It's driving distance to other towns so a prefect place for day trips. I would highly recommend this adorable place.

Cute place, convenient to most everything.
The little house was really cute and mostly comfortable. Plenty of good places to eat close by. The owners are very friendly. The check in was not very easy. The email that I received said that check in was at 2PM. We got there and the place was not open and the key was not where it was stated it would be in the email. I texted the owner, and after 15 or 20 minutes we found keys, (only to find out they were not for us), and went in. Shortly after, the owner sent me a text that he unlocked the door with his phone. Though the stools at the breakfast bar are really cute to look at, you cannot sit on them for more than just a minute or so. They are just too uncomfortable. Also the air conditioning unit is undersized for the property and with it reaching 90 degrees outside, it was extremely warm all during the day. Fortunately, it was able to keep the place cool at night. All in all, we were able to get a couple of days of relaxation in, which was our ultimate goal.

Vince, you Asked about Early check-in on May 24. We asked that you check with us a day or two before Stating if it was ready before 3:00 we could let you know. You Arrived at 1:40 and messaged me you were wanting to check in. I replied at 2:08 and unlocked the door with my phone. Thanks for staying and pointing out the things that would have improved your stay. We take these details seriously and address them to provide the best possible stay for our future guests. Our goal is to have the place as perfect as possible. Nearly every message after booking has my phone number to contact me. We live close by and have gone as far as to go over to help guests turn on the TV and get it on the channel they couldn't find. You can speak into the remote and say football or Netflix and it will pull up all the channels with football or go to Netflix. Our 1st complaint in 8 years about our cute custom-made Tractor seat stools. I have stools in storage that may have fit you better. They just don't go with the decor. If you would have mentioned it I would have brought you some for your stay. The key for the front door was exactly where we said it was. You dug around in our storage and found our backup key for emergencies. I will make that clearer with a picture and a description in future messages to guests. The AC doesn't keep up if the door is open often or for extended periods. We will look into oversizing the AC to help cool faster.

New Year's Day get-away
The little Chateau is so pretty, beautifully done to feel homey. Loved the way they have decorated. Comfortable all the way around. The only downside was the double bed when we sleep in a king. So the two of us were pretty cozy. Loved New Iberia. Hope to return.

Great location and accommodations in the heart of New Iberia.
The property was located on the bayou in the heart of New Iberia close to restaurants, bars and shopping. The actual building was very graciously appointed with comfortable furniture, bed, TV and internet. There is a lovely porch behind the building overlooking the bayou with comfortable furniture and a table top patio heater to warm you on a cold night. Underneath the porch is ample parking for 2 cars. Everything was perfectly decorated with an homage to the surrounding area using cypress, flowers, and birds of the area. It was all done in excellent taste. Definitely a 5 star stay. Mickey was a wonderful host.

Wonderful Experience
Everything was absolutely perfect! The owner was nothing short of amazing! We were in town to bring our fur baby to LSU. We had vehicle issues on the way down, had to have a family member come from home (Arkansas) to get our vehicle. Mickey was more than accommodating! Simply amazing!!
Words and pictures do not do this place justice. The property is in an amazing location with a great deck overlooking Bayou Teche. We were walking distance to bars, restaurants and everything downtown New Iberia has to offer. The owners were amazing, friendly and responsive. Couldn't have asked for kinder people. We’ve done beaches, we’ve done camping, we wanted to do something unique and fun. This destination was perfect! Swamp tours, unique food, great tour destinations (champagne swamp tours, Tabasco factory, jungle garden, kart ranch…all within short distances from this rental!). It was awesome!

Very happy with our stay. Would return. Photos are accurate. Very sweet spot. Only negative... We were going to grill one night and the grill is not in great shape. It's rusted out and gross. We threw the steaks and salmon in the freezer and went out instead.

We had an amazing stay Bayou Chateaux and can’t wait to go back! It is exactly as beautiful as it is in the pictures in the listing. We loved exploring all of the little decorative touches, right down to the Mardi Gras beads that hold the deck gate closed perfectly. The space is small but is extremely well laid out, we could easily live in that space no problem. The kitchen is fantastic and even has a full size gas stove 💜, a great coffee set up and gorgeous concrete counters. We loved having access to a W/D as well as it feels good to be going home from a trip without a ton of dirty clothes. We had the pleasure of meeting Mickey in person as he was gracious enough to zoom over with a corkscrew when we couldn’t locate the one that was there. We thoroughly enjoyed the deck area and also having covered parking. Our doggie loved it SO MUCH, we have never seen him so relaxed in a home away from home. The vibe there is just simply that perfect. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. We will be back!

My wife and I stayed for our 1st wedding anniversary. Excellent veiw of the bayou, great outdoor deck, well appointed kitchen. We really enjoyed our time! We cooked out on the deck each night, had everything you could need. As far as the studio, we couldn't have asked for more. The Murphy bed was very comfortable. My wife enjoyed the jetted tub. Honeymoon on the Teche
New Iberia isn’t everyone’s honeymoon destination, but we were so glad to find this little gem! Mickey was extremely responsive and helpful for our entire stay. He gave us great suggestions for places to visit and we really enjoyed being within walking distance of everything. The property itself was exactly as described, and perfect for us with our dogs. The kitchen was perfect for cooking up dinner and there were plenty of pots and pans provided. We can’t wait to come back with our daughter to explore New Iberia a little more! We will definitely be staying at Mickey’s properties again.

What a Bargain
This place was amassing. Not only was it a bargain for the price, but I would have paid double to stay here. The owner was great. He showed up to let us and and show us the place, he told us the story behind the place and told us what the local attraction were. He even came by one day to give us some home maid food. Great location
This cute place was perfect for my stay in New Iberia while visiting relatives. It was easy to walk up and down Main Street and see all of the wonderful homes or cross the bridge and walk in City Park. The Bayou Chateau is clean, well appointed, and has a great view of the Bayou from the large deck. The Christmas decorations were a nice, extra touch.

Spectacularly Eclectic or is it Eclectically Spectacular
What a delightful little treasure. It was a Spur of the moment decision to visit Avery Island’s Tabasco plant and museum before our World War II conference in New Orleans. We made reservations and easily found Bayou Chateau. It’s set on a quiet side street with a deck out back that looks out over Bayou Teche. It was perfect. Next time I’ll bring My wife. She’ll love it!

Weekend at Bayou Chateau
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Bayou Chateau. The accommodations and location were outstanding. Mickey and Tiffany were extremely responsive to any requests that I had. I was in town for a High School reunion and hadn't been back to New Iberia in over twenty years. I can't tell you how impressed I was with the renovations and improvements in the downtown area. It is indeed a really cool place to visit. Next time I am down there, I would definitely stay at Bayou Chateau again. The property itself and the location are perfect. It also has a great set up for entertaining. I am looking forward to seeing what Mickey and Tiffany do with their newest project, The Baits Motel. Fun little place to stay!
Mickey was there to greet us when we checked in, and was very hospitable. We even got a tour of the other property next door. The porch is very nice and there are games and books available if needed. There's also cable and Netflix available on the TV. Everything is very clean and there is water and coffee stocked in kitchen. Another wonderful stay in New Iberia with GREAT hosts!
This is our second time to stay with Mickey and Tiffany and it won't be our last. The property is in the quaint downtown of New Iberia, close to parks and restaurants. Their properties are so lovely! They are stocked with just the right things, very clean and enable you to take advantage of the outdoors with great elevated decks above the bayou. We were even treated with a bottle of Prosecco for our second stay which was great to celebrate our 27th anniversary. This is a great alternative to stopping on the Interstate or for enjoying some time in New Iberia. The hosts make themselves available and offer great suggestions for food and fun! Oh, and they are dog lovers so it's nice to find accommodations where you don't have to skimp just because you brought along your fur-baby! See you on our next journey across the state :-)

We had a wonderful stay at Bayou Chateau. It was just as described and just as gorgeous as the pictures. We are already planning to come back this fall. It was central to all the destinations we were visiting. The breakfast was amazing, best biscuits I’ve had since my Grandma passed away. Mickey came by to say Hi and was a great help on recommending where to eat that night! Even with being just a block off Main with the restaurants and bars it was very peaceful and seemed to really get quiet around 10:30. New Iberia is a sleepy little town with lots of history, art and good food, even has a Farmers Market on Saturday mornings right across the street. The people were so friendly, everyone knew each other, felt like we had lived there all our lives.
