This is a lovely Inn next to Peddler’s Village.

I apologize that you did not enjoy your stay. We moved your room shortly after your check in. You booked your room the same day you arrived, and we did not know you had a specific view in mind, since our rooms are located thru out the Village. In the future we suggest contacting the hotel directly if there is a specific view/area you have in mind.

Very quiet. We came during an “off” season. Shops close at 6pm but restaurants and pubs were open later. Nice property. They missed the mark slightly on upkeep.

Check-in experience was very poor. Hotel had mishandled our Confirmed Expedia reservation and claimed they could not find it. Initially they said no room would be available. After further searching they found the reservation and a room with one double bed (we had requested a room with 2 double beds). Hotel said they could put a high quality roll-away in the room but did not initial offer any reduction in nightly rate. After pointing out that this was unsatisfactory - didn't meet reservation request due to Hotel's error - they offered to reduce the night rate by $20 per night and comp'd breakfasts for both days of our stay. We accepted those conditions although we we're very happy about the situation.

We made the best.
Front desk reception was a little icy, the whole village closed because of a couple inches of snow that had cleared up by the time we arrived at check-in (including the attached restaurant at which we had made pre-Valentine’s Day dinner reservations). No apologies about any of this, just a matter-of-fact telling. Room was quaint and clean, but no fireplace or whirlpool tub. Doesn’t seem like anyone else is really here, so not sure why we seem to be inconvenience, but it is what it is!

It was a very good location. Lots to do around the area. The room was nice, clean, and the bathroom was up to date. My only true complaint is the noise from the street. I heard every car passing by. Also, it could be because it is an older building, but I heard all the noise from inside as well, which made it hard to sleep.

Very convenient to peddle village in walking and restaurants. The room was terrible on the second floor room 208 right next to the exhaust fence.

The Golden Plough was a perfect place for a holiday getaway for our anniversary. The hotel was decorated beautifully for Christmas. Our room was clean and super comfortable! We will be back again!

My fiance became very sick soon after arriving and he really needed a place to rest. I approached the front desk and made them aware of our situation and asked if we could get into our room sooner. The front desk staff was unbelievably helpful and we were immediately able to get into our room a couple of hours prior to check in time. We were so very grateful for their support and customer service. Our room was super clean and so comfortable! We look forward to many more stays. Thank you so much again!

Quiet, peaceful and so pleasant and warm … felt safe wondering around after 10pm when everything was shut. All the Christmas lights were on and it was beautiful to say the least… lovely places to shop and eat. Most boutiques are pricey but there is something for everyone’s budget. Make sure you ask for a room with a good view of the village some are of rooftops which is a shame.

Best place to stay
The Inn is so comfortable and has a warm atmosphere. It’s very private and there is an elevator if you are on the 2nd and 3 rd floor if you need to bring up. Or down, your belongings. There’s coffee in the room as well as in the sitting room. There is a refrigerator in the room as well. Location is perfect for Peddlers Village!!
